| So change of plan: but story first!
My week of hell is over, so that was awesome. I hated all the tests and such but I don't think I did so bad on two of the three. My lactation paper ended up being pretty good. Haha, yea make jokes about me being in lactation. It's actually probably one of my favorite classes ever because of the teacher.
Anywho I finished everything up around 4 pm on friday. I ended up driving to Iowa City to spend time with my bff and get some of the drive to Cincinnati out of the way. It was good times we met up with a couple of his friends and then went out to the bar. My bff and I got to split a free pitcher, so that was good times.
I started off for Cincinnati at 10 AM. About 30 miles down the road my car starting making this thumping noise. I pulled over and couldn't find anything, but the noise kept going. I ended up driving all over the place looking for a place to look at my car and ended up going back to Iowa City because I couldn't find any place. I ended up getting a place to look at it and my scrap guard was loose and it was banging in the wind.
I decided to go home because I couldn't stand the noise and it was closer to my house. It was also rubbing against my front tire and I was a little nervous of it popping again, I've already done that whole thing of having a blown out tire and I hated it.
Long and short of this whole entry is that I made it home alright. I don't know exactly what's going on over this break now, so give me a call if you want. I am really sorry for this entry 'cuz I feel like none of it makes sense, but oh well. I'm out! Toodles! | | |
| Yay I'm in English again what great fun...not really. Anywho this is your update. I am now 21. Woo-hoo I can consume alcoholic beverages legally again. I'm so excited for Spring Break because I'm going to Cincinnati to visit my friends from Xavier and also my relatives. St. Patrick's Day is during that week too so that's gonna rock. I'm so going to a bar somewhere and getting green beer. I was so sad last year when I tried to get one and they didn't have green beers anywhere. I even went to an Irish pub. Oh well. I guess I'm gonna go, I really don't have a lot else to say. I only have one more week before spring break, but during that week I have 3 tests, 3 quizzes, and 2 papers due. Wow, I'm sooo staying in Saturday in order to get everything done and actually do well on some of my tests for once this semester. My school work has been suffering due to my involvement with Varieties, but now that that is over...um yea things are still crazy oh well. C'est la vie. Toodles! | | |
| I'm currently sitting in my english class, it is absolutely annoying. I hate it, the only thing that gets me through it is the fact that Ashley has to suffer through it with me. All the teacher does is read the chapters out of the book then make us break into groups that he assigns and do a little assignment. It is absolutely insane and a waste of time.
Ok for the real update: It is now only 10 days until I turn 21, that mean I can do the countdown on my hands, which is awesome. Especially since I started at around 172 days or something like that. I had 3 tests this week, 2 on tuesday and then one today at 8 am. I actually slept in until 7:33 am and then was like oh crap. I got to the test in time though. I don't know what happened, my alarm just didn't go off I guess. I even woke up at 6 AM and though alright I get to sleep a bit more. Then after what felt like nothing I look at my clock and it's 93 minutes later. That test actually i think went alright which is somewhat worrying to me. The teacher has fill in the blank, t/f and multiple choice. However, on the m.c. you can circle none, one, two, three, or all of the answers. It makes it a little interesting and also doesn't allow you to just guess really. Oh well.
As for my other two tests one went really bad I think, completely fill in the blank and the other I did decent considering how I was studying for two at the same time.
Not a whole lot going on in my life. I got my valentine's day present today from my parents, but they instructed me not to open it, so I'm waiting. However, people told me that they could open it and it wouldn't be against what they said. That's it for now! I have to meet with Ashley and decide what our instruction thing will be on. | So, I went home today...YAY for 4 day weekends. It's just the most fabulous thing ever. I only have one class fridays this semester and it was cancelled and no school monday due to MLK so I decided for a little road trip. Well I'm just gonna say I learned a couple things on this road trip, but I'm just gonna leave it at that. It'll be a mystery, well probably not 'cuz no one will really care...but it's still fun to dream.
Well, first week of class over! Now I'm just home relaxing, gonna run out to Pinewood tomorrow and see some people. I might run some errands with the mum and what not. Then when I go back to Ames, I'm not gonna forget all the stuff I forgot the first time. Those things were after all the main reason for my visit back to MN.
For those of my MN friends that might be reading this and feeling insulted I didn't call to hang out tonight, I'm sorry...however I had a totally good excuse and it all just deals with me not getting home until about 45 min. or so after I was expecting.
