I hope all you Moms out there had a wonderful Mothers Day!!

Ours was fairly quiet.  Jeff had called on Friday.

Greg and family came over for a visit in the afternoon, and brought my favorite pie----lemon meringue!  Yum-yum.  Thank you!  We all enjoyed a piece of it.

Two of the grands called---the oldest in each family.  Lydia was studying for finals this week.  Then she will be home here for the summer.  Jacob called from San Jose.  Talked to him twice in two weeks!!  Wow!  He will be coming back to LaCrosse in August, I believe, and we will try to get over there then.  Will get to see Jeff and family then, too, since they will be in LaCrosse for the summer.

I had rehab again this morning.  They have me up to 35 minutes on two machines.  Not much tension or resistance on the machines yet.  That is OK with me.  Today my knees felt a little wobbly when I was done.  That is good, though!!  Shows it is working.

A couple of you asked about the sugar-free Twizzlers.  I got them from Walgreens, the strawberry flavor was the only kind there.  And they show "sugar alcohols" as the sugar substitute.  I think if I hadn't eaten more than a serving  I would have been OK.  But, once I start eating Twizzlers I have a hard time stopping!!  Certainly learned my lesson.

The two singing granddaughters, "Katrina Rose" now have a My Space page, with two songs on it.  The first, which starts playing right away is the one I had up here before---"On Her Own".  You can click on the second one to hear the other original song.  Jeff says he wrote the second one.  The first verse certainly sounds like he wrote it!  If any of you are interested in listening to them, they are here: (Click on their name)

Ken goes in for his TURP and hydrocele surgeries tomorrow.  He is getting a little nervous, as we all do just before surgery.  Please keep him in your prayers tomorrow.  They are very much appreciated!!

Will let you know how it went whenever I get home.  The surgery isn't scheduled until 1 p.m. our time.

I'll try to get over and listen to the girls. Just not today.

Lemon merangue is my fav too!  And, for the trip, I bought a package of cinnamon pull-n-peels by mistake.  Boy, were they ever hot!

What kind of procedure is that?  I'll be praying.

RYC: He does his own washing. I was working cattle and if he wanted it done he had to do it. Jenny threw in her things too so guess they shared the job.

I did my bit with a little prayer!  Hope it goes quickly and well tomorrow.

That's a great picture of the girls.  Of course, they are very photogenic - it runs in the family!  : )  I will have to remember to go to the site next.

I love the lemon pie, too.  I haven't had any in a long time, so it sounds especially good.

I love Lemon Meringue also! haven't had it in a very long time. Glad you had a good day.
I will be praying for Ken's surgery today. I can't remember, is he having to stay overnight or is it outpatient? Stay calm, God is with you.

turps aren't a lot of fun (not of course speaking from in the body experience sense lol- but from the person at the at the foot position and monitor side). take care Ken

- as for the emotions...i know it is a phase of human life to be sensative to all- to see what issues stand in the way of becoming wholly compassionate and not run from them even in a mediterranean climate- it is about becoming more than one is now.  take care of your heart in all ways mimi -g

I was hoping you had posted today. I do hope Ken's operation was very easily done and that he is convelescing nicely at home.

I didn't read my subs till now. I seem to get to the computer later and later. I hope I change that soon!

You are doing so well on your exercises! Thirty five minutes is a long time. I do sixteen and I am tired. You will notice in the next week or so that you are able to do more and not feel the aches and pains. Feel proud and give yourself a pat on the back!!!

Love

Bev

I clicked and I listened. I'm not a country music fan so all I can say is that the girls have lovely voices as well as lovely faces.

I'm reading as things were posted so I'll read about them later, but I hope Ken's TURP and hydrocele (whatever they are) surgeries went well.
