went to the gym today like i normally do on tuesday arvos after work....had a pretty good workout and put my new ipod shuffle to use.....so i was in the shower when suddenly the gym went quiet, the music had stopped. 2 seconds later there was an announcement about a power shortage and that the power will be back up shortly. so i shrugged it off thinking it was just the music and stuff that was affected but little did i know that the lockers were also affected!!!!

so i finished showering, had my towel wrapped around me, get to my locker and realised that i couldn't unlock it!!!! so there i was standing with just a towel around me and there was nothing i could do but just sit there and wait. it was a good half hour before the power was back on (only for 10 minutes) and i could access my clothes and bags and everything.

it was a tad embarrassing ><

wow....it's been over 3 months since i've put up a post....=.=

i suppose lots has happened since the last post.....time for some pics, they can do the talking hehe....(not in any particular order...)

5. Visits to Privilege for drinks after work on Fridays.....(not every Friday) :P

3rd CA exam is coming up in less than 3 weeks....time to start cramming!!!!

having difficulty uploading pics from taiwan onto here for some reason >< perhaps i'll give it another try tmr.

not really enjoying the freezing weather back in sydney, can't handle it. as much as i was complaining about the heat in taiwan, i think i prefer that to the coldness here. i mean, i've got socks on, the heater's on, fat doona, jacket and yet i still feeling the cold!! not good!!

but anyways, the 3 weeks i spent in taiwan was great =) it was good to spend time with my relatives from mum's side of the family whom i don't get to see unless i go back to taiwan...hopefully they'll come to visit us soon! i guess there were two highlights of my trip: my cousin's wedding and pat's 4-day visit. Haven't had a chance to attend a wedding in taiwan before and it was quite exciting to see all the traditions that the bride and groom had to follow throughout the day. i mean, taiwanese couples getting married here kinda do the same stuff but i guess not to the same extent cos ppl there are more into tradition than ppl here i suppose.....

during pat's little 4-day trip, we did a bit of sight-seeing, shopping and lots and lots of eating, mainly at night markets and eating all the delicacies of taiwan....loved it!!! unfortunately the 4 days went by heaps quickly but i'm sure me and pat will make the trip to taiwan again....hopefully not too far in the future.

hopefully the photo uploader will work tmr, then i'll let the pics do the talking....

thursday 7th june

4am: mum wakes me up and tells me to hurry up and get ready so we could head to the airport...as much as i was excited about coming to taiwan, i did not enjoy the 4am wake up call. so we left home at 4:30, got to the airport, checked in etc....

7:30am: we board the plane and figured that it wouldn't be too long before we take off but....

9:30am: we're sitting on the plane getting restless cos it's been 2 hrs and we still haven't taken off yet >< stupid rain was causing all sorts of delays....

5pm: we finally arrive in HK and having missed our connecting flight to taipei, the ground staff had re-booked us on another flight which meant we had about 20 minutes to go thru security check and find our departure gate.

7:25pm: at last we're in taiwan and it's raining just like it was in sydney but it was all humid and gross....but i was just glad to be there.

friday 8th june

so mum and i decided to head to taipei city to meet up with my aunt, uncle and cousin for a bit before heading to a nearby hair salon to get our hair washed and dyed so we look nice and refreshed for my other cousin's wedding on saturday. then we headed off to SOGO department store where i ran around like a maniac desperating looking for a pair of heels to wear to the wedding. found a dress in sydney but had no shoes to go with it =\ thank goodness i found one and then had to go looking for another dress to wear during the day time....good thing i found a nice one too. first day in taiwan and i've already spent quite a bit, for sure i'll blow my budget.

today

today's the wedding: had to go to the bride's house for some engagement ceremony, now waiting to head back to the bride's place to bring her to her new 'home'. pics to come later. stupid rain hasn't stopped so it's been pretty hard getting around without getting kinda drenched.

well, almost time to head off now, shall blog again soon =)

oh and i passed my CA tax exam!!!! *woot*
