birthday weekend.

Aside from Stompfest, this weekend would be a normal one in Waco, but I'm a goin HOME THIS WEEKEND. Thank the Lord that I was born this time of the year. I seriously need to go home. Hopefully, I'll come back with a new hairdo. Oh, I'm going home the weekend before my bday bc next week is semiformal, and it's "bad luck" to celebrate your bday after it has already happened.

I give up on guys in college. My grades will go up, and I will succeed! hoorah? My soulmate is an acceptance letter from a dental school. Nothing comes between me and me soulmate! Arr..

Listen to this: I applied for a an international meeting of youth from all around the world to meet in France and stay for 2 weeks..for FREE. All you have to pay is airfare there and back. but they only choose 50 students from around the WORLD, 3 students from the states of TX, OK, and AR. I had a write a cover letter in French. and I'm pretty sure I didn't get it because of horrible french grammar, but hey! I tried during a very hectic week, running around making sure it got mailed in time. If there's a slight chance that I did get it, uh......I would faint from happiness. :)

I live for weekends. Just one week after another. I always wonder if this week from hell beats the last week from hell. Weeks go by like a blur, and bam it's summer break and I'll be wishing for school again. This week, ochem test mon, genetics test tues, french quiz mon/wed, essay due thurs, DONE! Many nights of limited sleep. I skipped orchestra for the first time in 2 semesters of sitting in the front. I had to study for a test, HAD to, plus I am now sick. :( Green tea soothes the soul I tell ya.

I'm anticipating Friday so much that I am procrastinating/writing my essay 5 hours before it is due. capital F. How to elaborate to 800 words on a topic that I can only think of 10 words to reply? Good morning.

Happy New Year! I attended the annual party at Harry's and it rocked. especially because of awesome food, drink, and people! so.. You know I'm bored when there's a new xanga post. :P

New Year's Resolution!
-No dessert. very simple. no unhealthy eats after meals. Last year, I gave up cake and ice cream (minus bday cake) and I lasted 4 months.
-4.0 GPA. why not?
-Do the splits : O

Can this break drag on any longer? NOOOooo. Here's a list of movies I've watched this break:

The Simpsons Movie

Blades of Glory

I am Legend

Rush  Hour 3

Happy Feet

Enchanted <3 *

Shrek 3

A Life Less Ordinary

The Devil Wears Prada

The Ringer

Madagascar

to be cont. (bc I'm bored)

I also watched Season 1&2 of The Office, which is hilarious. almost done with Season 1 of LOST. Nothing else to say about this break except that I'm slowly losing my brain cells, people skills, and tan. lol. I got a camera and a piano keyboard for Christmas. I play with both everyday pretty much. Two parties, one full day of hanging out with a Baylor friend, and shopping sum up the 'fun' part of the break.

Blockbuster called today...about time. I apply for jobs, and they always call a week before school starts. :( Now I have to apply again when school ends.

My brother starts driving by himself tomorrow. Now, I must mooch rides from a high school kid. ugh.

Some people just STINK at facebook stalking. If you do stalk, be honest. I know what I put on there.

My July was great. How was yours?

July 4: Kaboomtown ended up being just me, harry, and harry's friend. We laid on a sleeping bag in muddy grass and watched a "nationally recognized" fireworks display. Sorry, I didn't get a free tshirt for Karyne. :P

I finally got to see Kidd Kraddick on a Friday. he's got street kred because he got a text from Irv Gotti. lol. We only stayed for an hour, but I got to see The Mommy Test, a Kinsey call, and a song from Beans and Cheese Burrito Productions!!!! We left early bc of Hurricane Harbor. There were supposed to be thunderstorms, but the weather was perfect-o. It only rained once while Karyne and I were riding on tubes on raging rapids or whatever it was called.

I passed the driving test, first try. YESSS. I have only been driving for about a month, so my driving is not too great. My dad makes me drive on the highway every time. He's a left-lane driver...and he tries to make me one too. Last week, we missed an exit, so we drove all the way to LakeWorth on 114. Oh my..the highway turns into a 2-lane, 70mph road, as in 1 lane for each direction and no barrier. It was scary for my dad. ha.

I practiced TKD at a real dojang for the month of July. It definitely strengthened my body for TKD, but it was military style. I got calluses on  my feet because it was on a hard floor. I'll try a different place during winter break.

I'm trying out for Symphony this year, and the audition music got harder! I have no idea how to play the Firebird excerpts. I got new Tonica strings. coool. I'm SO EXCITED to go back to Baylor! I shall be there in one week! It does kinda stink that I have summer school until thursday of this week...but I will suffer through one more essay. and then some packing. and then summer's over. : ( but school's starting soon. : )

elephant

this is me in physics. it's a daily struggle. yep. We learned about space time continuum, relative and quantum physics yesterday. It was so interesting. I learn so many things that I never think about, but calculus-based physics? Can it get any harder? Of course! That's what makes life so interesting. I love chemistry because it's actually challenging, not just rote memorization. :) let's tattoo a big L on my forehead now, why not? :P

I'm doing an extra credit presentation in physics on my other fav subject: violin. Wish me luck. My topic of choice has been violin for any class that asked for it. Today I will be discussing the physics of how a violin works. lovely. Maybe I'll demonstrate...but probably not..since I haven't opened my case in a month. I'm bad.

Einstein played violin. I did not know this. Geniuses play violin, alright? : )

Today is also my last drive time. I'm observing for 2 hours. ughhh. The pain is almost overrr. Yesterday, I couldn't stand waiting for the DART bus anymore, so I missed the bus by a minute and walked 2.3ish miles in the mud. Two cars honked, and one car seriously splashed me.The wonderful city of Dallas built sidewalks for pedestrians to achieve overall good physical health. NOT.  My Pumas are ruined.

It's raining everyday now. This is the most rain that Dallas has ever encountered(in June)! This is not good news. Agressive mosquitos/gnats are everywhere. I have to walk around outside everyday. These bugs try to bite you through clothing. I got bitten on my elbow through a long-sleeve shirt. grr.

I'm an insomniac. Have you ever experienced the late night chatting on AIM, when an ad pops up. "It's 4:05AM...do you know the experience of foreplay with a butcher knife?" I clicked the X right then. An image was about to show up. That is too scary/nasty. I cannot watch another scary movie. I'm already an insomniac. How would I sleep then?? Onne more hour until KKITM warmup show, but I'm out! Good morning~!

People are so hard to satisfy!! but who doesn't have high expectations? I guess it's better than not having a standard. Keep aiming high, kids!

Aim high, but not too high..I fell on my butt the other day trying to do an axe kick. I kicked so high that my other knee buckled and I fell down HARD in front of my parents. They looked at me like "what is she trying to do?" ha..I need to keep stretching. ouch.

Today will be the 6th time I have ever driven a car. It really isn't that hard, but I still don't enjoy it...the freedom is cool, but the actual driving...blah. It's like taking a shower or walking the dog. not too exciting unless you're racing. Every time I go driving, people think I'm 16. Is that a good thing? Whatever, I'll get a license before those kids.

June, so far.. I'm taking a 4hr physics class and 2hr driving class. 6 hours of sitting everyday. My sitting muscles hurt so much the first day. Sitting is an exercise, ok? Physics is so hard for me. why?? I studied so hard for this past test, and I got the same failing grade. My professor is German. She is so smart and funny. Whenever people start falling asleep, she asks, "Am I that boring? I'll try to be more exciting!!" in her German accent. Yesterday, she asked the class, "Now, who is awake?" and nobody raised their hand. Today, I actually had coffee and stayed awake for the whole lecture...and she chose to end it an hour early. yay. She pulls all the test problems from the homework, gives a bonus, and drops a test grade. Why am I still struggling? : (

My goals for this summer are not gonna be reached. most likely not. I am seriously thinking about dropping a part of my degree plan...  I am looking forward to going back to Baylor!!!! so excited to meet new people! and have another fresh start. I love having a new schedule every semester. Fall semester will be different. No more DORM. enough said?

I haven't touched the violin since..I can't even remember. I need new strings and bow hair. John is going to orchestra camp next month. lucky! I'm going to the dentist next week for the jaw problem that I've had for freakin 2 years. I don't even want to mention how long it's been since I've been to the dentist. gosh. I just hope it won't be too expensive.
