- A-Rod hits his 500th
- Glavine wins his 300th
- Bonds breaks the HR record
Unfortunately, I didn't get to witness any of these historic moments, but what a fun SportsCenter episode to watch Monday morning! I would comment on each milestone, but then I'd just be regurgitating everything the writers on SportsCenter wrote. . .
This weekend I also realized why/how I got into sports. We had a mini-worship at the park after church on Sunday and my dad was asked to give the sermon. Of course he starts off the sermon with baseball trivia, which actually I answered correctly. The rest of his sermon went onto encouraging us to be God's MVPs. He's actually quite a good speaker. . .good news for my brother. But it's my father and brother who gave me the inspiration to go into sports journalism, and even though I gave up that dream, I still love just watching games at home (or in the stadium) with my dad.
