a brief return to xanga

Xanga sent me a message that they miss me.  We joined Facebook at the strong urging of IJM so we could be a part of the IJM group or it is network? I think we have 5 friends. Anyhow, Facebook kinda intimidates me. There is too much going on there. I like the simplicity of the old xanga. Now, it seems xanga is trying to be more like Facebook, adding too many things. I say, stick with what you are good at - being a blog site, not social networking. In fact, I like the old xanga better than blogspot. Jerry thinks xanga should be like Hotmail where you can choose between 'classic' and 'new.' (I use classic, of course. New was too new. I guess I am unable to keep up with the changing technology landscape.)

Mac and South Asia

So, the Mac won and we are the proud, new owners of a macbook. It is white and we bought a black case. So far, my favorite feature is photo booth. Endless fun and funnies. Much thanks to those who left comments about why Macs are great.

Also, we leave for South Asia in 16.5 hours. We added a feature to our new blog so people can subscribe: www.ourjourneyforjustice.blogspot.com

MAC vs. PC

It is time to purchase a new laptop; refurbished is okay, too. Opinions wanted, please.

I am leaning toward a Mac. We already have a PC laptop and I want to try something new. Plus, I want to add video to our South Asia blog and I hear it is way easier on a Mac. (Look how long it took me to add a picture to this xanga!) Anyhow, those are not good reasons to Jerry, considering that PCs are cheaper.

A South Asian Adventure

We are moving to South Asia for one year!!

Check out www.ourjourneyforjustice.blogspot.com

I'll still post here for random stuff, like our BBQ tour of Texas. 9 BBQ restaurants: 2.5 days. Pictures and details to come.

xanga rules/etiquette

I am in a bit of a dilemma regarding responding to xanga comments. Please advise...

If someone leaves a comment, particularly a question on one of my xanga entries, should I just answer it on that same entry or go to that person's xanga and leave the answer there? Otherwise, doesn't that person have to keep checking my xanga entry to see if I have replied?
