Russ Gang Another weekend full of horses and kiddos. We hauled our kids and their beloved equines to Duncan for the SW District 4-H Horse Show. They all four qualified for state! Yea!!! It is a lot of fun when they are all showing at the same show. 
Coal & Abbey, Kid & Zoe, Addison & BJ Zoe's little horse got hurt the morning of the show, so we called in Papa Gary and his horse Bamboozled Kid. 
Rhett and his horse Big Jake are looking good!! 
Zoe & Kid and Addison & BJ showing for Reserve Grand. Zoe showed in Youth Geldings and Addison showed in Aged Geldings to meet up with each other for Grand and Reserve. Talk about about a proud moment for the Russ bunch. Notice the big Paint horse standing behind us... yeah...he beat us. 
Abbey, Addison & Zoe all showed against each other this year in the same age group. This particular class had 22 entries. They did a great job! Abbey got 2nd, Addison got 9th and Zoe did an awesome job for her first time showing Kid. Addison & Zoe didn't show performance (riding) events this year, but Abbey & her pony placed in all their performance classes. 
Rhett and Big Jake not only did awesome in the halter events but placed in all but one performance event. They did great! All I've got to say is we know how to pick our horses (thanks to Dad) and somehow by the grace of God we've got awesome kids! Weekends like this one are hard to beat. |
