New Slideshow
Ok, you're not supposed to talk about yourself so I'll talk about Kevin instead!
I am constantly thrilled by the quality of work that Kevin puts out at every Wedding he shoots. He doesn't have a blog and hasn't updated his Gallery images in over a year, which is why I have to give him some "props" from time to time!
So many photographers nowadays rely on Photoshop "tricks" or using unusual lenses (such as a fish-eye) to "try" to create something artistic with their images. Guess what folks? Using a fish-eye doesn't make your images more interesting...
What makes a photo interesting is to start out with good subject matter, know how to light the scene, know how to pose, compose and frame that shot effectively. Kevin does all that and then some.
I invite you to preview Kevin's Slideshow of Nicole & Nathen's Wedding from the Powel Crosley Mansion in Sarasota. These images have not been "treated" at all. They are straight-out-of-the-camera images, proving that you don't need "tricks," "gimmicks," "treatments" or "special lenses" to create art from your Photography.
Enjoy!

Updated Website Design
We have been so slammed with finishing albums from our 50+ weddings last year and shooting weddings this year that we haven't had time for anything else. Eric is the only one of us who has blogged anything all year long! I still haven't blogged my first wedding of the year, from January, nor any that followed! And this weekend, all three of us are booked for Saturday and this month alone we are shooting close to a dozen weddings.
That being said, we took some time and updated the layout of our website because some people just couldn't "figure out" how to click the little squares on our last website!
The above photo is from a wedding that Kevin recently shot at the Powel Crosley Museum. I hope to get a slideshow up from that wedding soon cause he got so many good shots!
Enjoy the new layout and design at Tampa Photo Weddings!

It's Myne
This is one of the coolest products I have seen in a long time! The product is called "It's Myne" and it is available at my friend Connie Tisdale's website: It's Myne
It's a necklace, it's a key ring, it's a purse charm!
I found Connie through the Purse Blog that I'm a part of. They featured her work and I loved it so much, I contacted her and told her that I wanted to put a link to her site on my handbag site! I even mentioned her product in one of my Newsletters!
Connie was so happy I did that for her, that she sent me a piece of artwork for free! I love it and it goes great with my handbags!
If you are looking for a very unique gift for someone (or just a present for yourself) check out Connie's website at www.itsmyne.com. Not only is the product superb, look at how it's packaged!

WPPI 2008
Since it has been FOREVER since I've blogged I have a lot of catching up to do.
Kevin and I went to Las Vegas in March for the yearly WPPI Photographer's convention.
My friend, Gary Fong, had copies of his new book there and was doing a book signing at the tradeshow. When I saw his wife Melissa, I asked: "Where is my copy?!" She actually went and got me a copy of the book and had Gary "autograph" it for me! That was so cool and totally unexpected! I've already read half of the book and it is hilarious. Gary has been one of the most instrumental people in helping us achieve the huge success we've had as photographers. His advice is always straight and to the point and that is how he has written this book!
Along with the tradeshow, me and my buddy Georgina Ghionis took a whole day and hit every designer boutique there was in town! She wore flip flops and actually had blisters on her feet from how much walking we did! Our last stop was the outlet malls and she freaked out there! Apparently in Australia, there is no such thing as a "sale" so when she found stuff on sale at the Burberry outlet, she went crazy!
My friend, and her husband, Jerry Ghionis, won first place AGAIN in album competition, along with first place in some print categories. This was the first year that Georgina has come along to Vegas with Jerry so it was fun to sit with them and watch her cheer her man on! She has a lot to be proud of because Jerry pretty much wipes the competition out (and rightfully so)! Congrats to Ryan Schembri as well as he took top honors in a few print categories AND got himself engaged soon thereafter!

Oh Yeah!
Ok. Enough people have been giving me crap about where my blogging has gone to, that I HAD to blog again!
And what better way to start it out than with a Bon Jovi concert! Whoo Hoo!
This pic is one I took with my camera phone, two years ago, when he opened the show about 10 feet away, from our 40th row floor seats. I wasn't so lucky this year with tickets. Despite many people "promising" that they could get me great seats, no one actually came through, and I had to buy seats from a broker. As someone said to me: "Any seat at a Bon Jovi concert is better than no seat!" I had to agree so I bought the two tickets in the rafters!
Debbie Glancy (late of Hunter's Green, new of Sandpearl Resort) was supposed to be my "date" but she came down with a migraine headache a few hours before the show! I was freaking out because I didn't think I could find anyone to go with me (Kevin REFUSES to go to a Bon Jovi concert!) Anyhow, Debbie's wonderful husband Tom became my companion for the evening and we had a great time! We had half a dozen white women who couldn't dance, in front of us all night, and we just laughed and cracked up at their "moves"! Ladies, if you can't dance, please SIT DOWN! Sheesh!
Bon Jovi was awesome as usual. I tell people that even if you don't like their music you should go for the experience of 70,000 people all singing every word, to every song!
Chris Daughtry opened the show and his voice was amazing as well!
We've been working night and day it seems so it was nice to take the night off!
