Time to post some new pics!!!

Before i show you some pictures from our church camp that we had this weekend i want to show you two pictures of one event that took place while i was in the States on my vacation. That was the dedication service of my little nephew...Filip. My sister-in-law's family and my family where present...except me...who...as i already said...was in the Sates on a vacation. Anyway....my sister-in-law's dad and my dad conducted the dedication. They all said it was such a neat event!!! After the service the two familys and some of their relatives...all in all about 20 persons....went to have lunch together in a very nice restaurant. Too bad i missed this prescious occasion!!! Well...that's life!! Anyhow...below are two pictures that were taken during the dedication. The man on the left is my sister-in-law's dad...and the one on the right is my dad.

Here are some pictures from our churchcamp. We really had a great time!!! Everyone seemed to enjoy it A LOT!!!! Most of these pictures were taken daturday afternoon....while we were playing all kinds of games.

Bowling....was one of many competitions!!! It was fun....but a difficult to play on grass. Well...that actually made it even more fun!!! By the way...this is my foster brother, Danny.

And here's a typical finnish competition....."throw the boot".....and as the name indicates...you are supposed to throw the boot as far as you can!!! I admit...it sounds a bit stupid....but when you play it....it is fun!!! Try it!!!! Here my brother is just supposed to throw.

The camp was located in a very nice area....basically in the middle of nowhere....next to a beautiful lake. Some even went swimming.....after the sauna. The sauna was suficcient for me....i didn't need to go swimming in order to have a great time. I preferred the heat of the sauna!!!

What would a camp be with a traditional evening fire....and barbeque? I guess...not a camp at all!!!! Sausage is the finnish vegetable.....so as usual....we had good sausages (hmmmm...is this how you spell this word....don't know?!).

So...this was a little bit from our churchcamp. This weekend we will have a "reunion weekend" with all the missionary trainees that were sent out throw PMU. I really look forward to that!!! It will be great to see all the trainees and hear all their stories!!!

Today after work i went for a little walk....and it was sooooo beautiful!!! All the leaves of the trees were turning red and yellow.....and the fresh cool air....and the warm sun!!! Wonderful!!! I haven't been home and experienced the Swedish fall for 4 years....so now i enjoy it more than ever!!!! I took some beautiful pictures.....and i thought i want to show them to you....but i'll do it some other day. So...come back and you will see "Sweden in the fall!!!"

Have a good week......and God bless!!!

Hello everyone!!

We just arrived home from our church camp. It was great!!! We have never arranged anything like this before....but will likely be doing it again in the future...because it was so much fun!!! Everyone seemed to love it!!! There were about 50 people who came....so not too many....but surely next year there will be a lot more!!! The camp was held in the same campsite where we had our kidscamp this summer....in the middle of nowhere...outside a little town called Nora. A beautiful place. I have some pictures from there...and i thought that i will show them to you in a couple of days. So...come back in a few days and you'll get too see some beautiful pictures from our church camp.

Take care!!!

See you!!!

I am back home!!!

I just arrived home and had something to eat. I am still trying to figure out why my pants keep on shrinking??? Well....i guess i'll figure it out in a while....after i've had more time to ponder on this strange mystery. Anyway....i had a faaantastic vacation!!! I really enjoyed it very much!!! But i am also very happy to be back home again!!! Now i am quite tired.....because didn't sleep much last night...because i was travelling. It surely is difficult ot sleep in a plane....i don't know why?? Well....anyway....i am home...safe and sound...and i need to rest a little bit. So i will not write more for now. Until next time....take care!!!

Hi!!!

Here again comes some more pictures. We are now back in Washington at JD place....and we just finished a very nice taco meal. It was very good. Tomorrow in the morning we are going to church and then on monday i am flying back to Sweden.

As i mentioned yesterday we went to Mexiko a few days ago. We weren't really able to take many pictures....because there were basically no tourist in the city...except we....and everyone kept on staring and yelling at us.....so we figured that it may not be too safe to show people our camera. Anyway....i got a few shots. This first one is from the border. In the backround on the hill...you can see Mexiko. It is amazing how everything changes....the moment you cross the border. It is like entering an entirely different world!

Two more pictures form Mexiko.

As you may remember i told you that we went to Tombstone...an old....real cowboy town. They have been able to preserve the town...just as it looked during the time of the cowboys!!! Very interesting!!! So...here are some pictures from Tombstone.

Two cowboys outside the local Saloon.

And here together with JD's grandparents.

One last "posing cowboy" picture. I really like these old cowboys style houses. Aren't they nice?

During our time in Tombstone we also went to look at a little theater or show. I don't know the word in english....but anyway....some people were acting some real historical events...that took place about 100 years ago. Very interesting!!!

Here's a picture of a very old theater. It is more than 100 years old!!!

We also visited a very old graveyard. Here many of the people and cowboys of Tombstone were buried. A lot of the tombstones and crosses said unknown...but still many had names of them. Most of the people were murdered, stabbed, hanged, killed my indians or had commited suicide. It clearly showed us that life in Tombstone in the 19th century was not easy. Here are two tombstones we saw. In case you can't see what it says on the first tombstone it says the names of the people buried there and then adds "legally hanged, Mar 8, 1884."

I passed one tombstone with a very interesting note on it. I thought i'd like to show it to you. This is what is says....first the name and date of the dead person and then this, "Remember...that as you are...so once was i....and as i am....you soon will be....remember me." I thought it was interesting. So simple...but soo true!!!

Here's a picture of the beautiful view from the graveyard.

As i said we left Arizona this morning...and are now in Washington. I have to say that i have had a wonderful trip!!!! It has been great!!! But i do have one problem. I do not understand this. All of my pants have started shrinking...even though i don't wash them?!? Hmmm....wonder if anyone of you ever have had the same problem. Well...while i continue to ponder on this issue....i'll finnish my plate of apple pie and icecream. It tastes just faaantastic!!! Before i quit....i want to post one last picture. This shot was taken just before we left for the airport this morning. In the picture....me....and JD's grandparents.

Ok....that's it for this time. I need to finish my apple pie now. So...i'll write more next time. Have a good day everyone!!! Take care!!!

Hello everyone!!!

I am down here in Tuscon, Arizona for the moment...at JD's granparents place. We arrrived here a couple of days ago...and we will fly back to Washington tomorrow...and then on monday i will fly back to Sweden. We have had a wonderful time here!!! It has been so nice...a little above 30....and the sun has been shining most of the time. We have seen a lot...as well as just relaxed in the swimming pool outside the house....and spent time with JD's grandparents.

Here are a few pictures we took two days ago on our visit to the desert!!! The mountains and the nature was gorgeous!!! (Hmmmmmm......is this how you spell this word?) Anyway...it really was beautiful. And as usual...i took a lot of pictures....and i thought i will share some with you. So...here they come....pictures from the desert of Arizona.

These plants are really tall...as you can see.

Here's me with JD's grand dad

And here's a cowboy we met right in the desert!!!

And here's another cowboy!!!

Another picture of the beautiful desert.

We went and saw some almost 2000 years old indian writings on the rocks. The indians made these signs on these rocks 200 B.C.

While walking in the desert we saw this little sign that said, "rattle snake area." (Rattle snake=skallerorm). Well...fortunately we didn't meet any!!!

Yesterday we went to Mexico and today to Tombstone....a very old cowboy city. It was faaaaaaaantastic!!!! I will post pictures of this as fast as i can. Until then....have a good time and take care!!!!

See you!!!
