| Well, I'm backHello. I'm back and maybe I'll have something interesting to say in the near future. | | |
| The Journey Continues....So what next. I interviewed for a new music position today. If I get it I start next week. Nothing like loads of time to prepare. Oh well...If I get the job that's great. If not, that's great, too. I can go either way. The money and benefits would be a blessing, but the time to prepare for doctoral studies would also be great. Plus I have always wanted to work at CFA.
Well, we shall see what God decides.
| VisitorsWe are blessed to have Aunt Dixie and Cousin Anne in town for a few days. Aunt Dixie was married to Renee's Uncle Blake until his untimely death in 1993. And Anne is Renee's only first cousin. Dixie was born in Little Falls, New York (Around 1 hour away from where I grew up) and moved to Missouri when she was 5. Later she ended up as a history teacher in Bedford Village, New York. She is now married to William Banks, who is a lawyer in Bedford Village and who has helped one Robert Nordberg, Sr., father of our own Dr. Robert Nordberg, Jr. The World just keeps getting smaller.
Anne moved to California for work and to be nearer to Renee's Family. She worked for Plantronics and now works for a company called Kennsington which has a warehouse in Ogdensburg, New York.
It is wonderful to have the blessing of a loving and supportive family. Now we will get to show them the sights of Northern New York...both of them. Tomorrow, we take a trip to the Adirondack Museum. It will be fun.
| So now I am back homeAs many of you know we have been traveling in the Mid-west. It was a whirlwind trip. We stayed at four different homes…all filled with dear, long-termed friends. We attended two different churches, both wonderful experiences. And though that it was busy and jam-packed with late nights, we have come home refreshed. I am so grateful to God for these experiences.
We had a couple of more on the way home. We found out that our friends the Gormalys, formally Turkish missionaries, were right on the way home in Chesterton, IN. So we stopped and had a beautiful time of ministry with them. And that was exciting. But wait! There’s more! It was time for us to leave. Amy Gormaly suddenly says, “Is that the Tornado warning I here?” Yep…it was. A tornado warning was sounded just as we were going to leave. It was exhilarating and scary. The tornado was first sighted on lake Michigan. Then it traveled down through Michigan City, IN, the town next to Chesterton. We left two hours later and finally arrived at our hotel about 3:00 AM. Oh well…
And now on to the next adventure. We have decided that it is time for me to start pursuing a Doctoral degree in Choral Conducting in the fall of 2007. It is electrifying and overwhelming. There is much to do in one year. Please pray. We can sense the call of God in this, which means that the enemy wants to stop it. So here we go.
