| i just wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about God's timing and goodness. i just got done teaching a lesson in sunday school about "resting in faith", and i didn't realize that i was going to have to apply it so quickly. a week and half ago i took the written part of my national certification exam and i was feeling pretty confident about it and was getting excited about what God had in store for me in the athletic training world. Then a week early (and the day after teaching that lesson) i recieved the results. i didn't pass. at first it was a little blow to my pride and i started to get stressed, but God is good. after a couple minutes i realized that God does not want me to be an athletic trainer yet, and i am ok with that. i have no clue what God wants me to do as far as job wise, but i am excited for whatever it is. it is amazing the peace and joy that comes from trusting in God's timing and resting in faith. so, pray for me and bethany. not that i would find a job but that i would continue in faith and have wisdom to follow that curves that the Lord is throwing my way.
in other news, i am getting married in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait. well, i will because i have to but you know what i mean. it will be great to serve the Lord together as one. we both helped out in youth group on sunday night and it was great to have her there. the wedding plans a coming along well. we just have some loose ends that need to be tied but we will have them till the wedding day. Bethany has done an amazing job planning this wedding. it is going to be a great day.
well that is all for now...thanks for listening.

| ok so i better update this thing. well i am at the YMCA all night tonight because there is a rental and there has to be someone here while the group is here. its not that bad though it is a churh group and they let me eat pizza and play dodgeball with them. i also have been able to get my sunday school lesson done. it has been really good being able to teach. i love studing 1 John again and it has been fun teaching it in this kind of setting. i am hoping that i will be able to do more.
well, i am no longer working at the hotel and i can't say that i am disappointed with that. i did start at the hospital though. i think i am going to like it there. it is really slow right now because the summers for AT's are always slow but when the sports season starts up it will get crazy. roamer has it that i am going to be working with wilberforce and xenia christian, if it comes to be i would be content with that. although it will be heard to work with wilberforce during the cedarville game, but i had to do that before with the wsu/c'ville game so i will manage.
there is less then a month till the wedding is here...YES!!!! i can't wait, it is going to be so much fun. it is getting harder and harder to live alone and to just be able to talk to bethany over the phone, but the Lord is good and he is giving me patients. the plans are coming together. we have a few things to still work out and then all the little stuff that will be there till the day of the wedding but for the most part i think we are doing well. Bethany might not agree with that statement but that is the way i see it from my perspective.
well that is all for now....i will update again when there is more.

| Hello, i figured i better give an update since it has been a while. basically everything is the same. i am working at the YMCA still and love it....i am starting to work at Greene Memorial Hospital.... and at the Hampton Inn. There are 64 days till the wedding!!!!.......really excited about that...Bethany is my best friend and i just love her much!!! :) We started a new book in youth group, and i am really liking it. it is about the passionate, dangerous, and exciting walk of following Christ and that we just don't see if much in churches these days. i think it will be good. i am also reading i am not but i know "IM", also a great book. i don't have a t.v. right now so i am getting a lot of reading done. i would recommend it to everyone. it does get annoying at times but over all it is good, but don't worry come football time i will have a t.v. speaking of which i have changed my back ground to support the best football team in the world......The Ohio State Buckeyes. anyway, how is all of your summers going? matt

| i guess i should get a quick up-date on life since it has changed a little: -i graduated on may 6th (kind of) -i moved into the house bethany and i are going to be living in once we get married. i really like it. we painted a couple of the rooms and that was fun. she is letting me have an OSU room and i have all my john deere stuff up....so i can't complain a bit. -we have 98 days till the wedding. -i am working at the fairborn ymca as the aquatic cordinator. i start on monday so...i don't really know what to expect. i am also working 3rd shift at the hampton inn in springfield. it isn't the best but it has some advantages....like a room at the hilton in columbus for less then $60. i am still looking for the big job though so please be praying. i am just walking by faith right now and have been an amazing journey but i would still like to get a job. bethany has a couple possibilities, so pray for that also. -God is teaching me some good stuff. i am learning to just walk by faith and how big He is and how much i need Him.
well that is all for now. life has been an adventure and really busy but i seem to like it that way. so how is life going of all of you?
