new

time to start fresh.
i've moved my online posting.
you can find the link in the facebook.
it'll be photos and current events, mostly.
i'll leave heavy thinking for the mind and paper.
and maybe nice conversation somewhere sometime.
see you elsewhere, then.
be well.

what's new? what's good?

well i guess i've been working at the model by vmj studio for a couple weeks now.
and living at my spot in west oakland for a little longer than that.
and i'll also be soon working for titan mgmt doing punch list back checks.

to make sense of it all:
i am a do-it-all assistant at a fashion/portrait photo studio start-up, set to launch next month.
it will provide high-end photo experiences geared towards high school seniors and college students.
i also now live in west oakland, near the west oakland bart station, one stop from the city.
this way i can easily ride my bike and mass transition myself almost anywhere.
this makes me very happy. little can get me down when i'm on my bike every day.
and last but not least, i'm getting an application in tomorrow to start another job.
sweeping developments with a hard-hat and checklist, making sure shit is tip-top.
it could be a cool experience. i get to wear a hard-hat!

so things aren't bad. definitely not bad.
even when i get bogged down and super busy,
when the time come to go home, i get to ride.
there's nothing like flying down city streets at night on a bike.
i could be anywhere in the world, and feel at home riding a bike.

ps: if you're homesick, look up your house on googlemaps
and maybe you can drive through your neighborhood with the street view.

i guess i've been here about two weeks.
mostly transitioned, i suppose.
having moved around so much and often this summer,
it seems like i've been able to find home in other places.
laughably odd, considering how frightened i was the morning i left.
also my not yet having an apartment or room, job or purpose.
unless you count a living room, and loafing about, skatingboarding.
a house and career will come in time, i've been convinced.
so i'm probably a bit more laid back about it than i should be.
but going with the east bay chillness is so easy.

today i am mad tired; i got a new bike!
a singlespeed cyclocross bike for the bay.
it'll do me really well for getting around town;
so fast and easy to move around, comfy too.
i'll still get my park bike out, to really ride street,
just in due time, hopefully when i have health insurance.

anyways i'll be helping an aunt paint her old house tomoro.
definitely give me a bit of purpose, and a good break from craigslist camping.
