| Saw the Sound of Music today
this is my sixth musical (if you count ³·¯T´ò) and what's different this time is I have never got a seat that close to the stage. Yet, the feeling of sitting in the 2nd Row from the stage is actually funny. You know, the ground of the stage is just at my eye level, so I somehow found it difficult to tell the depth of the stage. In another words, what I saw is rather 2 dimensional and it was not very very very very easy to tell whether the actor is moving towards nor away from me when he's in a straight line with my eye sight. (Can you guys understand what I'm talking about?) As I've said, the whole stage became 2 dimensional (to me), I felt like watching a moving before a hugh screen.
For the musical, the qualities of music and sounds are for sure not questionable since most of the songs are well-known masterpieces themselves. Also, the actors'/actresses' preformance is satisfying (I dunno how to comment on dramars actually) and extra credits are given as the youngest daughter of the Chaptin can always bring the audience laughters.
Comparing with the musicals I've seen before, there are more dialogues in the Sound of Music. Maybe different writers have different styles lar~
