Yay for people. I have realized that I am such a people person. I seem really kind of good about being independent but I think I really need my people. I was so depressed and alone feeling yesterday in my house and then a friend came over and when she left I was so happy. I love friends, people, relationships.
Random words of advice from my dad...about boys:
1) "You can't be friends with boys, sooner or later one of the two is going to want more." So far, I think I agree.
2) "Don't date hockey players, they are conceited. They have this idea in their head that they are going to make it to the NHL and even if they are thirty, it never goes away." I don't know if I agree but it was funny to hear.
3) "Ali, you are used to masculine men, you grew up with them. Don't date someone you think you could probably beat up." : ) funny.
-Umm, not direct quotes but that is the gist of it all. I love my dad. He's the best.

I just started listening to Blue Rodeo and I think I like it. Especially "After the Rain." I also like Augustana. They are super cool in concert but they don't really seem like they enjoy performing. Super talented though... We went down and watched a basketball game in Seattle. We dressed up as Oregan because we went with a guy from there and we were expecting them to win. But they didn't so we had to walk out through all of the ugly purple with our heads down... everyone was rubbing it in. I realized this week that the pool is super fun! Now I want to go to a wave pool and i need to look one up. I went rock climbing on Saturday and it was fun! I didn't like it the first time I went a few years ago and now I am trying to force myself to like it. And I think it might work! I was so scared of falling at first but then I got used to the feeling... and started trusting my belayer. Anyways, there are a few random thoughts for my week/day/life. : ) Ciao.

oh, yet another semester. So far so good, i guess. Three three hour courses and one directed studies course and an ESL practicum along with rockclimbing and a ling weekend course. I am looking forward to rock climbing, the spanish directed studies course and teaching listening and speaking. So yeah, it should be a good semester. : ) I pray!

I've finally finished the second to last semester of Trinity and am now at home enjoying the stormy Christmas holidays. Things are a little quiet here. My mom just started working delivering mail and dad and Stu are always working on the Old Chum so I end up all alone at home raking leaves, working on prawn traps, baking, cleaning, etc. It is fine and sometimes rather fun but most of the time it is a little lonely. I am looking forward to the busyness of Christmas. I was walking over our property with our two dogs today and thinking up movie scripts that would go well with the fields and swamp and old farm in front of the ocean setting. With this stormy weather and grey skies, I think a scary movie would be great at this time. It's funny what a person comes up with when they are given so much time to think. Anyways, I hope Christmas is wonderful for everyone. May it be very merry and always filled with love.
