It's nice to be able to talk with everyone face-to-face and not over the phone. I'm not a very good phone conversationist, haha.

I'm still waiting for some loans to go through but come tomorrow I am moving my stuff into my room and hoping God takes that as a "please let me stay here cause I'm already moved in and everything!" The past four months living at home have been plenty for me. I love my family but it's so chaotic here.

Work was so bad today! It was the new girls first day and I was the only one working and it would of been fine had it not been so busy. But I didn't have time to show her anything and she didn't know how to work the computers so I was doing everything and with school starting soon there were teachers galore coming in. The line of customers was getting so long and that means they get crabbier. I'm so glad today is over! And now i don't work again until Friday cause i took the next 5 days off for school and such. It will be a nice break.

Meaghan made the volleyball team! I'm so excited for her. I can't believe she is in highschool now! holy cow... when she starts driving it will be so wierd! Steve and I have always referred to our sisters as the 3 little girls. We still say that and Meaghan complains now cause she says she is not little anymore. They will always be the 3 little girls to me.

Jessie is here and staying in a hotel with her mom tonight so we're going over there and going in the hot tub and such. I'm excited :) It will be nice!

Thursday, August 10, 2006

my family is leaving to go camping and I'm stuck here vacationless because I have to work. Work stinks.

School starts soon. Where did the summer go?!?

Lauren and Sondra are back!! It's so exciting to see people again. I missed my friends. This is the good part of school :)

"yesterday is history

tomorrow is a mystery

today is a gift

thats why its called the present"

mike breux (no idea how to spell his last name) said something along those lines in Church a few weeks ago and I liked it

Wednesday, June 28, 2006

Which Jesus do you follow?
Which Jesus do you serve?
If Ephesians says to imitate Christ,
Why do you look so much like the world?

Cause my Jesus bled and died
He spent His time with thieves and liars
He loved the poor and accosted the arrogant
So which one do you want to be?

Blessed are the poor in spirit, do we pray to be blessed with the
Wealth of this land
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness
Do we ache for another taste of this world of shifting sand

And who is this that you follow
This picture of the American dream
If Jesus was here would you walk right by on the other side
Or fall down and worship at His holy feet

Pretty blue eyes, curly brown hair and a clear complexion
Is how you see Him as He dies for Your sins
But the Word says He was battered and scarred
Or did you miss that part
Sometimes I doubt we’d recognize Him

Cause my Jesus would never be accepted in my church
The blood and dirt on His feet might stain the carpet
But He reached for the hurting and despises the proud
I think He’d prefer Beal St. to the stained glass crowd
But I know that He can hear me if I cry out loud

I want to be like my Jesus
Can I be like You
I want to be like my Jesus

I have never been so emotionally exhausted. This has definitely been a hard week. I feel as though I am under attack from all sides. My mom thinks I am going through spiritual warfare. I'm beginning to believe her.

I was walking around on tip-toes and finally fell over. As hard as it was, I needed to fall.

Do I need to take a year off from Judson? I just don't know what God wants me to do. I want to continue going to Judson but I'm just not sure if that's where God wants me right now. I just need to be patient and I know that the answer is coming. I'll just hate leaving everyone but I also don't want that to keep from going where I need to be.

"In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD. Many are asking, Who can show us any good? Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD. You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety." ~Psalm 4:4-8

On a lighter note, i love this cd! thank you kelly for telling me i should get it. you were definitely right. i love it :) The first song still makes me think of Mary Poppins, hahaha.

Sunday, May 14, 2006

tonight was a very good night :) lots of fun with steve, laura, and kelly

i almost can do that skip guy with a frisbee (thanks kelly)

steve learned this new trick with a lighter and its pretty fantastic. i'm the worst at it

we're watching a movie and steve and kelly are talking to the television... its pretty entertaining

"When the sun went down we would all leave town
And light our fires in Egypt Bottom
And the reservoir was just as good for Joni
'Cause we knew we would
Dream outloud in the night air"

And much needed.

And just because we say the word, "Amen"
It doesn't mean this conversation needs to end

these are the days of elijah
declaring the way of the Lord
and these are the days of your servant Moses
righteousness being restored.
and though these are days of great trial
of famine and darkness and sword
still, we are the voice in the desert crying
“prepare ye the way of the Lord!”

behold he comes, riding on the clouds
shining like the sun at the trumpet call
lift your voice, it’s the year of jubilee
and out of zion’s hill salvation comes

these are the days of ezekiel
the dry bones becoming as flesh
and these are the days of Your servant David
rebuilding the temple of praise.
these are the days of the harvest
the fields are as white in Your world
and we are the laborers in Your vineyard
declaring the word of the Lord!

there’s no God like Jehovah!

i miss everyone

i miss derek

--edit--

I thought we were going to have to go to the emergency room today cause Steve wanted to see if he could fit a giant bouncy ball in his mouth...it went in...but it was a little harder for him to get it back out...
