| I'm Married!!!!!! Really, it was the happiest day of my life! We planned the whole wedding in a week and 2 days. There is no way we would have been able to do it though without his rocking Mama and his siblings. They made it so beautiful. They have done so many weddings they are pros at it now. His brother Brian married us and he did such a wonderful job. Really, there is no way that I could have asked for a more amazing ceremony or family. I am such a lucky little girl. I will be sure to put some pictures up soon. Lew829 took some amazing pictures. (she took my profile picture) Right now though I have to think what to get Joel for his birthday in a couple of days. I have not really had time to think about it with the wedding. Hmm . . . I am sure right now all he wants is a nap. Weddings are so stressful! | | |
| If anyone ever tells you that you never forget how to ride a bike, punch them right in the mouth! As some of you may know, I am going to be 21 in less than a month, and I still do not drive. Yep, I suck. Anyway, last night I decided that I was going to finish one of Steph's baby blankets. (This blanket rocks. I am almost done and I shall post a picture of it.) Hobby Lobby, where I get the yarn for this blanket, it not that far away. Just a couple of miles. So, I decided that I was going to take Joel's bike and go down there really quick. I had not been on a bike in about 11 years, but you know what people say: You never forget how to ride a bike. WoW. I think it took me 5 minutes just to leave the driveway. Most of the way there I was running into fences, I plowed over like 5 'For Rent' signs, twice I had to have people help pull me out of bushes, I set off 4 car alarms, and the list goes on and on. I was determined to get that yarn though. (I like to compare my little quest to Frodo's quest, because I am cool like that) I think one of the funniest moments though was when I finally got to Hobby Lobby. I could not get used to the brakes on that bike. When I needed breaks, I let my feet drag on the road to stop me. So, as I was going down this huge hill of parking lot with my legs dragging behind the whole way. I had so many people laughing at me, but, I must say that I was laughing my head off as well. It was great. Thankfully Joel came and picked me up from the store. I think I might have died if I had to ride the bike back to the house. ______________________ This morning when I was coming over to the library, there was a UPS man going to the house across from me. The music was blaring like crazy in the house. The UPS man went up to the door and knocked very nicely. No answer. He knocked again, a little harder. No answer. Then, he squared himself in front of the door with a stance of authority. He then beat on the door and yelled, "FBI, Open this door right now!!". The music stopped at once and a women came to the door looking a little disheveled and scared. The man smiled, hander her the package and just acted like nothing out of the ordinary had happened. He had her sign here, told her to have a nice day and walked away with a huge smile on his face. I was laughing so hard. Now, here is the cool part. I walked across the street and guess what I did . . . . . . . . . . . I gave him a high five. Yep, I did. Just for you Mandy. | | |
| Well, well, well, so we meet again. I have not really been up to much lately. Really, I have just been a house'wife'. I freaking love it. Really, if I could get a degree in being a house wife/stay at home mom, I would. I would go all the way! ahaha. But really, I love it. I have been learning how to cook a lot of new things, and I must say kids, I am not too bad. The other night I made Apple Cranberry Chutney with chicken. It was so good! Joel found this recipe for Indian flat bread to go with it as well. I had never made bread before so I was a little scared, but I knew I could do it. So, I let my yeast raise and then I mixed it in with the flour just like the recipe said. It did not say that at the same time I needed to add the Ghee and the egg. So, I ended up with a bunch of flour flakes. I was pretty sad when Joel came home. He hugged me and kissed me on the forehead and said "Don't worry babe, you will learn how to bake soon." I said "I hope so, so I can get a bun in the oven." . . . .Well, Joel had never heard the expression 'bun in the oven' referring to a pregnancy. Once I explained it though, he thought it was funny . . . .I hope. And I'm off to make Christmas stockings ( I am making a stocking for each member of Joel's family and putting their name on it. Then I am going to put them up in the house and fill them with presents. I thought that with every member having a stocking there, it would feel homier for Joel . . . .and I like to make presents. ). | | |
| Tragedy StrikesI am very sorry to inform you all that Brenda Embrey died just a few moments ago. It is sad to say that it was a very long a painful death. She died of a Math overdose. R.I.P. November 18, 1985 - October 1, 2006 | | |

My house. Yep, it is still empty, but I think Joel and I are going back to Joplin on the 7th, so we can get my stuff then. Even when it is empty though it is really cute. I am pleased. hehe. The back yard is pretty big though, so I am not looking forward to that when spring and summer come. I am excited about a hammock though, and maybe even a little garden! There is a spare room or two so you homies will have to come and visit. | | |
