He barely slowed down and ran right through the stop sign after glancing for traffic. What the officer didn't know was that a security policeman was watching the intersection. The SP pulled out after him and stopped the car two blocks away.

SP: "ID Card, License, registration and proof of insurance please."

Colonel: "Before I give it to you, tell me what the heck you stopped me for, *Airman*."

SP: "Watch your tone sir; you ran that stop sign back there!"

Colonel: "Airman, I slowed down, what the heck is the difference?"

The SP pulled out his night-stick and began whacking the Colonel over the head and shoulders. Bang! Bang! Whomp! Bang!

SP: "Now, Sir....do you want me to just slow down, or stop!!!?"

Im really lookin forward to getting Basic training done so I can head on off to Security Forces Tech School and have some real fun. I'll be playing with M-4, M-9, M-203 Grenade launcher, M-249 SAW, M-240B Machine gun. I will also throw hand grenades, learn how to employ a Claymore, as well as recover one. Sounds like lots of fun! Like a real life counter strike.

My plan is while gaining experience and serving for the USAF, is to get my bachelors degree in criminal justice on the side. That way if I decide to to leave after my time is up I can go on ahead and start a career in one of the federal agencies, Theres tons to choose from such as FBI or DEA or become a detective like my dad. If I choose to stay in the Air Force then I'd become an officer which is cool too.

I found this cartoon about Pillman that pissed me off the other day from one of the AF Security Force Forums, It might piss some of you guys off too

This little comic was drawn by Ted Rall. I would love to see this guy show off this cartoon in a room full of Army Rangers and see how it flies. This guy is the type of Puke who escapes a burning building but his children, elderly relatives and pets wouldn't. I hate the media!

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

-- John Stuart Mill

Thats all for now.

Tuesday, April 27, 2004

Its late and I decided to update this out of boredom since I cant sleep.Well as of late all I been doing is surfing since San Diego is getting some pretty nice weather. Today was around 80, perfect beach weather. I really am going to miss this place when I leave for the Air Force in June, hopefully I get stationed somewhere in SOCAL because I love the weather here. I don't really play paintball that much anymore, its just involves way to much money to play it and why pay to play something when you can surf for free.

On to other things, I think im going back into art..drawing, sureal and deviant art, Im not really sure why I got out of it in the first place but I miss expressing my self through images. One of my friends reccomended I read this book, I think it was called "Drawing with the left part of your brain"? Im not really sure but it seems intresting and he said its very good to read if you're an artist, if any of you have read it then how is it? Im probably going to take some art classes while I use my free education the USAF is giving me for fun.

"American Soldier"

I'm just trying to be a father,
Raise a daughter and a son,
Be a lover to their mother,
Everything to everyone.
Up and at 'em bright and early,
I'm all business in my suit,
Yeah, I'm dressed for success from my head down to my boots,
I don't do it for money, there's still bills that I can't pay,
I don't do it for the glory, I just do it anyway,
Providing for our future's my responsibility,
Yeah I'm real good under pressure, being all that I can be,
And I can't call in sick on Mondays when the weekends been to strong,
I just work straight through the holidays,
And sometimes all night long.
You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door,
Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey I'm true down to the core,
And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price,
I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrafice,
Oh, and I don't want to die for you,
But if dyin's asked of me,
I'll bear that cross with an honor,
'Cause freedom don't come free.
I'm an american soldier, an american,
Beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand,
When liberty's in jeopardy I will always do what's right,
I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight.
American soldier, I'm an American,
An American,
An American Soldier

Thursday, April 22, 2004

Let see, not much has been goin on with me as of late. Thats prolly why I didnt update this for a long time. Only thing I been doin is workin out, surfing, paintballin and chillen.

I had a meeting with my recruiter the other day and we talked about military pay since one of my friends decided he wouldnt want to join because he claims the pay is low. Well allow me to break it down for you. For a person who is going into the military as an E-1 he would be making roughly around 1105.50 a month, that comes with free food , free dental, free dorm that you dont have to share ( Air Force ) and free medical also not to mention free schooling if you want. Now it might not seem like 1k isnt a lot of money to be taking home in a month but just look at all the benefits, For a person who is not in the military, he/she would have to make 15.00 an hour to compare. Thats just for E-1 but as your rank goes up your pay goes up as well, I'll use my recruiters rank for this example. He is an E-5 staff srgnt in the Air Force, He has 1 kid I think and as a recruiter he has a free house on base and a free car. Hes only been in 7 years and is bringing in close to 60k a year. I dont know the monthly pay because he has a kid and housing, you get more money with that. For a person outside the military to compare with that he would have to be making 25-30 an hour ( don't remember and dont feel like doing the math ) to get that kind of pay you would atleast need to have your associates degree, hell I know some people with their bachelors who dont even make that much, even if they did theres still more bills to pay outside then in the military. This entry isnt to get you to join or anything, its just showing you that the military salary isnt that bad plus you can travel for free =] ------- I estimated these figures but they are roughly close just to give you an understanding.

Well after all that I dont really feel like typing anymore. soo bye

For those who don't know I leave June 1st for Basic.

Tuesday, April 13, 2004

As we all know the media never tells the whole truth on what goes during the war and as of late all I see is the death counts of our brave soldiers serving. Well heres an actual update from Lt Co Kennedy of the 4th Marine Battalion, currently holding Fallujah in a cease fire. If you could please read the whole letter to get a better understanding of whats going on. Also I would like to add that I do not agree with the cease fire because it will give the Iraqis time to regroup and assess another attack.

Update from Lt Co Kennedy

Friends and Family--------An update you may not get from the media.

The last two days have been the hardest two days this battalion has faced in over 30 years. Within the blink of an eye the situation went form relatively calm to a raging storm. You've known that since arriving there has been violence; attacks have been sporadic and mostly limited to roadside bombs. Your husbands have become experts at recognizing those threats and neutralizing them before we are injured. Up to this point the war has been the purview of corporals and sergeants, and the squad they lead.

Yesterday the enemy upped the ante.

Early in the morning we exchanged gunfire with a group of insurgents without significant loss. As morning progressed, the enemy fed more men into the fight and we responded with stronger force. Unfortunately, this led to injuries as our Marines and sailors started clearing the city block by block. The enemy did not run; they fought us like soldiers. And we destroyed the enemy like only Marines can. By the end of the evening the local hospital was so full of their dead and wounded that they ran out of space to put them. Your husbands were awesome all night they stayed at the job of securing the streets and nobody challenged them as the hours wore on. They did not surrender an inch nor did flinch from the next potential threat. Previous to yesterday the terrorist thought that we were soft enough to challenge. As of tonight the message is loud and clear that the Marines will not be beaten.

Today the enemy started all over again, although with far fewer numbers, only now the rest of the battalion joined the fight. Without elaborating too much, weapons company and Golf crushed their attackers with the vengeance of the righteous. They filled up the hospitals again and we suffered only a few injuries. Echo company dominated the previous day's battlefield. Fox company patrolled with confidence and authority; nobody challenged them. Even Headquarters Company manned their stations and counted far fewer people openly watching us with disdain. If the enemy is foolish enough to try to take your men again they will not survive contact. We are here to win.

The news looks grim from back in the States. We did take losses that, in our hearts, we will always live with. The men we lost were taken within the very opening minutes of the violence. They could not have foreseen the treachery of the enemy and they did not suffer. We can never replace these Marines and Sailors but they will fight on with us in spirit. We are not feeling sorry for ourselves nor do we fear what tomorrow will bring. The battalion has lived up to its reputation as Magnificent Bastards.

Yesterday made everyone here stronger and wiser; it will be a cold day in Hell before we are taken for granted again
