Jennifer and Alvin

In the last post you saw the save the date card for Jennifer and Alvin. It was such a moving ceremony with tears of joy from the bride, groom, priest, and half of the guests. It is such a blessing when a marriage is restored by the grace of God. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

This last pictures deserves a story. During the preparation for the reception I noticed Jennifer and Alvin both wearing this old apron to protect their clothes while they prepared the hot foods for the luncheon. I found out after I took this picture that it belonged to Jennifer's grandmother who had passed away. So this picture is kind of like taking a picture of Grandma.

Marriage Restoration

After 5 years of being seperated my friend Jennifer and her Husband Alvin are getting remarried. The Lord has been so faithful to their family helping them restore the marriage they believe to be lost. I am so excited. I will be shooting their renewal of their vows and civil ceremony. They never had the marriage annuled through the Catholic Church to in the eyes of the church they were still married. I am so happy for them. I designed this save the date card for them using some of their orgional wedding pictures from 1987 and I thought I would share them wtih you.

I know it has been a long time since I have posted. I have been so busy meeting new brides and helping friends that have been sick or need help with projects that I have not had a chance to blog just for fun in a long time.

Well I had a great deal of fun working with Jennifer and Blake a few weeks ago. We had so much fun and when we added Murphy it became even more fun. Below are a few of my favorites and you can veiw their session slideshow by clicking on their names above! :)

Katelyn and Ryan are getting married in June of this year and I had such a good time at the Botanical Gardens shooting their engagement session a few weeks ago. They are such a beautiful couple. Share 2008 Moody Radio in Central Indiana

Tuesday and Thursday I had the privilege of volunteering to answer phones for WGNR and their Share pledge drive. WGNR is completely commercial free christian radio so they need help from listeners to stay on the air. They are a great station and since they are owned and operated by Moody Bible Institute you know that they are are going to provide wholesome biblical teaching and great praise music. I have been volunteering since 2001 and it really is a blessing to work for my family's radio station. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

Melinda Schmidt is a host for Midday Connection a program that airs on WGNR at 1pm every week day. She hosts with Anita Lustrea in Chicago at WMBI Moody Radio's flag ship station. She really had a lot of fun here in Indianapolis with the team and the volunteers. I really enjoyed having her help out.

My Valentine Couple

Andrea is a long time client and great friend. When she told me she wanted some pictures of herself for Valentines Day for her wonderful boyfriend Mickey I jumed at the chance. We only had three days from shoot to print so it was a fast session. It wasn't much of a suprise though when Mic came home from his workout early and decided after a quick cleanup he wanted a picture of them together. They are such a great couple and I hope that when the time comes I will be chosen as their wedding photographer!

Kokomo Bridal Show---What a blast!

Sunday was the W92Five and WIOU Kokomo Bridal Show. What a great time. The Johanning Civic Center talking to all the new brides and seeing all of the beautiful new bridal fashions. Wedding invitations--Cori and Ryan

Wedding invitations are something new I took on this year. Cori and Ryan were so great allowing me to be their photographer and now they are trusting me with this fun adventure. They wanted something whimsical but something pretty. They wanted their pictures, maps and everything to be all inclusive so they chose an accordion style invitation.

Sample number 1 This invitation has a hand painted look with a sketched front and muted flowers through out. Following the theme of painted the gift pictures have a sketch border.

Sample 2 is cleaner without a picture on the front of the card. It also has brighter flowers in some places. It is slightly more simple.

Sample Number 3 is my personal favorite. I has a front and inside first page that has a different orientation. Using the picture and the bright flowers I think it just looks better. I like how with this horizontal dimension I can make they picture on the front bigger.

Marion Bridal Expo

This past Saturday was the Marion, Indiana Bridal Expo held at the Meshingomesia Country Club. I had such a good time meeting with all the brides that came. And I really enjoyed shooting parts of the fashion show for Mrs. J's Bridal. I took a lot of pictures of hair also for the salons represented at the show. I think my booth turned out well thanks to my new 22" monitor and my new beautiful graphi sample book. Having the set up for the tables and 16x20 pictures was nice also. Here is a picture of what the booth looked like.

The fashion show was great. I have been married almost 9 years but I still love the look of a beautiful wedding dress. Here are some of my favorites from the show.

Cori and Ryan

Cori and Ryan, I have this feeling, are a whilrwind of a couple. They signed their contract at noon on Thanksgiving Eve and we had their portrait session the same day 3 hours later. Wow what a fun day that was. :) The Fort Wayne botanical gardens were lovely and the lights of dusk really made for interesting colors in their pictures. We really had a great time. We even got to see Santa after we were done as he made an appearance at the Garden s that evening with two reindeer. I am very excited about Cori and Ryan's wedding in July.
