So show me something we haven't heard yet, but I'm not convinced and your heartless songs won't stick...... but I, I'll sing you something you won't forget. For the first time I know that this is now who I am.

Do you ever feel like you have so many usernames and passwords that you're never going to keep them all straight?  Sometimes I have to try several to find which one works.

Going home for ten days tomorrow morning.  Call me if you want to see me.

Kevin, I love you and I'm going to miss you and I will see you very soon.

Our time is almost, our time is almost here...

There are way too many things going on right now.  I'm about to go take my last final of the year, and then all that's left is my jury tomorrow afternoon.

I just signed my new lease and I move in June 1st.  I cannot wait to get out of this place.

I was just promoted to a management position until they can find a new district manager and Abby can come back to the store.  And even if they hired a new D.M. today, there is a minimum two-month training period, which means this position is probably going to last me most or all of the summer.  The funny thing is that Kevin and I were both promoted to management on the same day.

Next Friday I'm flying "home" for 10 days to see Neil's last concert and graduation.  I can't believe he's that old already.

After a couple months of pondering, I finally ordered a swimsuit from the VS online catalogue.  Because I can't get my discount, I decided to wait and see if it went on sale.  Of course it was still really expensive, so hopefully it will be worth it.  I'm not usually big about ordering clothes I can't try on, but I figured I'd give it a try because swimsuit shopping is the worst time of year.

I need to go practice my sight singing now and work on memorizing one last song that still isn't quite there.  The end of the school year is stressful for everyone, isn't it?  Thank goodness I don't have to worry about moving out of a dorm again.

Somebody please explain this to me:

What is it about my little, red Civic that says to helpless little animals,

"PLEASE JUMP IN FRONT OF ME!"

I really don't understand.  In Olathe, it was a possum.  In Prairie Village, a fox.  And in Roeland Park, it was a cat.  The first time I had to swerve into the other lane, and both other times I had to slam on my brakes.  I've always hated the idea of hitting animals, and just earlier today I considered myself lucky that I've never had that problem.  But apparently mother nature noticed she hadn't terrified me enough with tornados or floods, so she decided to send cute little animals as kamakazis willing to sacrifice themselves in hopes of giving me a heart attack.  Well, it worked.

holy crap.

You know that you're in Kansas when it's only March and today is the second big tornado warning of the year.  The last time the weather was this bad was the 12th, and a tornado actually came spiraling down out of the sky a block away from my apartment.  I love severe weather... except when it hurts people.  There's just something about the excitement and power that leaves me awestruck.  You should see KC in August - it's a month-long display of lightning.

This weekend was just awful, and that's all I have to say about that.

In choir, we are learning Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms.  There's nothing like sight reading Stravinsky because when it isn't actually atonal, the tonality is so skewed that it might as well be.  However, I really am starting to like it, and I'm excited to perform it.  It will be Chorale, the orchestra, and dancers for the Conservatory's 100th anniversary celebration.

Today is Kevin's last day at Armour Tower.  He's officially living in a house with Ben, and it's in a slightly better neighborhood.  It even has a porch with a swing.  Yesterday he and I just sat on the swing enjoying the breeze and the nice weather.

I have to go drive to work in the storm.  Lets hope I don't get sucked up by a tornado.

1.)  My birthday was fantastic.  I have a long history of bad birthdays, so it was a nice change.  I got packages from my family and Melissa and lots of money.  Kevin bought me a new SNES because mine was broken, so now I am pumped to continue my lifelong quest to beat Super Mario World.

2.)  I went out with the girls from work last night for a few drinks.  Who knew T.G.I.F. had $3.00 long island iced teas on their happy hour menu?

3.)  I have successfully had two hour+ long conversations on the phone with Melissa Plu.  This nevers happens, so it was very exciting.  AND she was there for me last night when I wanted to make sure I didn't fall asleep driving home.

4.)  I also had a nice, long conversation with Dixie.  I'm sure the Pier 1 people were a little mad that I was wandering around for over an hour, but I hate checking out somewhere when I'm on the phone.

5.)  Weezie called me today and told me that the last batch of Chex Mix she made for me "wasn't good enough," so she had to eat it all.  Therefore, she supposedly made me a fresh batch today and I am very excited to eat it.

6.)  I have to sing in a concert tonight.  Hopefully it will go better than I expect it to.

7.)  I have another concert on Saturday night.  I'm more than a little nervous about the outcome of this one.  We're singing Bruckner's Mass in E Minor with the graduate chamber choir and wind ensemble, plus our other rep. that we sang at the last concert.

8.)  I need to get back to practicing...
