Rocky Balboa:
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!

I strongly recommend the latest installment of Rocky!
Not all boxing. Ladies, dun worry about that. It's a lot on relationships.

God uses many weak people for His work

Moses was weak but he was called the humblest man on earth.

Gideon has low self-esteem and deep insecurities but is called a mighty warrior. Abraham claimed his wife to be his sister twice but he’s called the father of many nations.

Peter denied Christ but he became the rock for the early Church.

David who was an adulterer became the man after His own heart.

Lifesong - Casting Crowns

Let me share with you the song called Lifesong by Casting Crowns.

I've come to appreciate the songs that they write, with backings of Scripture and meaningful expression to God and how we as His should/can respond. I urge that we take time to read and reflect in view of our serve and our life. Most important is not to stop where we are but to make a decision to ask God to help and to change us.

The song starts

Empty hands held high

Such small sacrifice

If not joined with my life

I sing in vain tonight

May the words I say

And the things I do

Make my lifesong sing

Bring a smile to You

Lord, I give my life

A living sacrifice

To reach a world in need

To be Your hands and feet

Worship is so much more than the songs I (Song writer) sing. Instead, worship is in the heart that lifts the song. If you think about it, worship began when I (we) wake up this morning. My (Our) life purpose is to give God glory through everything I (we) do. If my life does not worship Him, my songs don't either.

Some scriptures to reflect with:

Matthew 15:8-9

'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
 9They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Colossians 3:17

Matthew 25:25-28

Crave after .....

Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.                    1 Peter 2:1-3

How long have I not craved for spiritual milk? How long have I not craved for His Word?

Crave –

1)      To have an intense desire for; an obsessive desire

2)      To need urgently

3)      To beg earnestly for

This came to my mind when I hear a friend share of a young boy who just received Christ. He has this craving for God’s Word seen in his daily reading of the Bible. He shared to my friend that he wants to know about this Great God.

This young boy’s desire is so intense that once he has the spare time, you can see him reading the Bible. Though it was not like a Bible study kind of reading but his desire to know God rubbed onto those around him. His friend started reading after seeing him read the Bible after finishing his homework. He is also reading whenever he can because he wants to catch up. Though the motive may be wrong at first, (not wanting to lose out) but I pray one day God will touch his heart.

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.

My friends, are you craving after God?
