| Holla :)Sooo.. not much is new. But I'm not one for deep thoughts on life, at least not articulating them late at night. So I'll just say what's been happenin' lately.
I'm going to Michigan this weekend. I'm pretty excited. Throwing my best friend Reneah her bridal shower :) I'm also very excited to see my boy Aaron, my family, and even some out-of-town (from Colorado) cousins!
I'm wrapping this semester up over the next week and a half, yay :) I am taking a few classes online this summer, but nothing to big, so I'll mostly just be working and doing a little bit of traveling.
My parents are moving to Indiana for their last few months before they move to Argentina. I'm super excited to spend time with them (even though it is kind of a weird feeling basically having your parents move in with you after you moved out of their house!).
I finally joined the YMCA, so hopefully this summer I can get healthy, lose a little weight and tone up.
I want to start sewing again, plus have a garden this summer, and fix up my porch area (repaint furniture, etc...) and hang out with friends (new and old).
I guess that's it :) | | |
| Yay.Sooo, not only does my new job rock because I'm around amazing food (that I can purchase at a 50% discount), and I have great co-workers, and I have great Christian bosses, and I even get to wear my plethora of cute earrings. So, not only do all those things make it great, but I'm also making good money!!! On my last check, after taxes and tip-out and everything, I made a little over $12 an hour. I've never made that much per hour in my whole life! So, yay :)
Umm, in other news... The next 5 weeks is going to be a busy rush to finish the semester well. I'm extremely good at getting things done on a day to day basis. Like something is due Wednesday and I make sure I have it done by Tuesday, etc... However, the more long-term projects are my problem. So here's what I'm looking at: 1. paper for film class, due April 9th, haven't started it. 2. group project for GP, kinda started, but nothing to in depth. 3. Mock interview for OCB, April 1, need to prepare in advance (2 hours worth of studying).
Other than that it's the basic homework, and prep for finals. I'll have an exam in GP next week, a big final project in Oral Interp, and 3 finals the last week of April (film class, business and OCB).
Ummm... deee... dum.... My best friend Reneah is getting married in June, I'm throwing her bridal shower, that's April 19th, should be a good time :) Aaron's best friend Kenny is getting married in May, I'm the videographer, I really need to sort through old videos, finish projects and do a little prep for the wedding. I want to take a trip this summer, my two preferences are either Florida (if I can get Keri, Mirelle, Becca and Jess all at WOL at the same time) or Colorado (so I can visit my relatives and Aaron can visit his half-sister and nephew). My third option probably won't be feasible, but I am DYING to go see Amber and Will and baby Solomon in L.A. :(
Okiedokie. Peace out. ~Tina
| Whatta day...I had a wonderful Easter Sunday :)
Sunrise service/breakfast at my church, Easter service at Aaron's church, the best ham ever with my family, "Apples to Apples" and some baked apples, a 4 mile walk with my boy, a silly movie, a declaration of love, a moonlit walk... Doesn't get much better than that. Minus all the sniffling, hacking, sneezing and blowing might have been nice (I have a head cold), but still, t'was grand.
Now I'm watching "Enchanted" with my family, it's a very cute movie :)
| I'm a foodie...Yes... I am a foodie. Definition: "A person who is very, very, very interested in food. . . . They don't think they are being trivial--foodies consider food to be an art on a level with painting or drama. It's actually their favorite art form."
On somewhat related news. I am going to put in my 2 weeks notice at Ruby Tuesdays and accept a job at Cerulean. Mostly because at Ruby Tuesdays I don't like the work environment... or the poor management... or the not-so-hot pay...
I think Cerulean will be a better fit for these reasons: 1. It's a restaurant/sushi lounge (YEAH, SUSHI!!! I LOVE SUSHI!!) 2. It's privately owned, not franchised. 3. It's very well run, clean, etc... 4. I will start as a server as soon as I finish 2 weeks of training, no QSS job before serving. 5. Tips should be good, because the food is pretty expensive! Entrees average $18. 6. I'll be working with more Grace students, less townies (nothing against townies, they just don't create a very positive work environment). 7. It will be easier to make sure I am only scheduled 20-25 hours a week, instead of almost 40... (I worked 30 hours this week and someone else covered an 8 hour shift for me).
I think that's enough reasons.

| Wedding-tacular.Phew... what a weekend... I flew down to Florida on Thursday for Becca's wedding and it was a BLAST! I almost didn't go due to the fact that I'm broke as a joke... but I already had the ticket, so I borrowed some money from mom and off I went. It was a fun-filled, action-packed weekend. We had a bachelorette party for Becca the night I got there, the rehearsal dinner and setting up the next night and Saturday was just go-go-go. Hair salon, pictures, wedding, reception, and out to dinner and a movie to end the day. It was beautiful, encouraging, awesome, and just a huge blessing to see several couples this weekend who are living for God an honoring God in their relationship by living up to His standards. Not just Becca and Joel, but Becca's sibling who are married, and the Redmond's who are married. It was really uplifting for me to spend time with a big, fun group of people who love God. Now I'm home, after getting up at 5:45am, spending 6+ hours at the airport/in airplanes, then I had to wait forever (in the FREEZING cold) for a tow truck to jump-start my poor, veryyyyy cold car... then a 3 hour drive to my apt. and I am home sweet home... Ahhhh..... ~Tina | | |
