  • GOD SAID NO...

    I got this in an email from a friend.  It is another easy post since I'm still not really well. HOWEVER, it is a worthy post and a timely one.

    God Said No

    I asked God to take away my habit.

    God said, "No.
    It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up."


    I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.


    God said, "No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary."

    I asked God to grant me patience.

    God said, "No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned."

    I asked God to give me happiness.

  • WHAT SHOULD YOUR SUPER POWERS BE?

    Your Superpower Should Be Super Speed

    You're quick witted and fast to act.
    You're mind works at warp speed. From your perspective, everyone else is living in slow motion.
    You get so much done, people have accused you of not sleeping.
    Definitely not a couch potato, you feel a bit crazy if you're not busy doing something.

    Why you would be a good superhero: You're be the first on the scene... and likely to finish the job before anyone else shows up

    Your biggest problem as a superhero: Being bored by everyone else. Including other superheroes!

  • QUESTION...

    pencil_paper

    One of  'our youth' (who is now in college) sent a text to Stephen and me today and told us she  was writing a paper about us.  I wrote back  "should I be worried?  LOL"  (I shouldn't,  btw).

    This leads me to the question....If you had a paragraph (just a few sentences) written  about you,  what would you want it to say? Be  honest.  Be specific. I'm really interested in  knowing.

  • DON'T...

    In the spirit of 'getting to know me better' I'm doing a post on "I don't".

    Even though I'm southern born and raised, I don't drink ice tea or (don't faint on me here) coffee.

    I don't think brown is the new black and even if it is, I don't care.

    I don't know what it feels like to be truly hungry.

    I don't always follow the rules. (Stephen says I only follow the ones I have to follow; although we can't really come up with any I have to follow as I realize there are consequences but..(Big surprise there, huh? LOL)

    I don't like clutter or messes.

    Eating ketchup with french fries is something I don't do.

    I don't like being told what to do. (That's a big surprise to all of you too, isn't it? )

    Stereotyping is something I don't like--especially when it comes to women/women in the ministry.

    Unless, it's vegetable, I don't think soup is a meal. (it's a snack).
