| 6 weird things ...One - I don t like to talk when I wake up in the morning. Cos I take quite a while to warm up to a new day. Two - I love gifts but I usuallly don t use them immediately. I have presents that I kept for some years before using them - like keychains and towels. Three - When I find clothes that suits me I can buy a few ot them in different colours. Recently, I bought three blouses of different colour. Four - I love to read mysteries and thrillers. If they are great and exciting, I have this bad habit of finishing them in a day or two. So, when I have lots of work to do, I always resist leisure reading. Five - I hardly finish a journal book or note book before using another one. Six - When I prepare sermons I have this weird habit of doing it on my bed with books scattered all over it. Often I just lie on my bed to sort out my thoughts and materials for preaching. Weirdest of them all I guess! | | |
| Recently, I heard of 2 cases of phones disappearing right under the victims' nose - while they were at the same popular fast food joint but located at different places. In both cases the victims were sitting with their hand phones placed on the side of the table, within sight. As they looked up, they saw some one smiling at them. Trying to be polite and courteous, they returned the smile. In that split second of turning their heads in the opposite direction, their phones were stolen. Looks like this is the latest method of phone thieves - working in pairs and robbing in broad day light. So be wise! If you have a habit of placing your phones or wallets on the table, please change this practice... or else you might be the next victim! | | |
| Hi people, I am planning a trip to minister to the Orang Asli living near Kampar. It will be a very interesting trip. To see how these beautiful natives live and to visit home cells in their village. We will also be ministering in the churches that Pastor Philip planted (the prophet from KL who ministered to us - the one that uncle Daniel Cheong brought to Christ). For leisure, we will be visiting waterfalls and trekking in the jungle. Date: 25th May to 28th May Cost: S$200.00 Interested pls see me this Sunday! | | |

A rainy day scene taken from my bedroom window.
A rainy day scene taken from my bedroom window in OMF bungalow, Cameron Highlands. Unique drain. Wide corner to catch the jet of rain falling from the roof gutter - just outside my window - OMF bungalow. | | |
| As I read about the senseless shooting at Virginia Tech Uni, Blacksburg in the recent weeks, my heart goes out to all the grieving parties of the deceased. So sad that 32 lives went up in smoke just like that. A reminder that our lives are like vapour - in a wist, it is gone. We should live purposefully every God-given day and be joyful in all that we do. As I quietly reflected on this unfortunate incident, a very disturbing thought crossed my mind. What if there were people around him who would take time to talk to him and show concern for him inspite of his oddness! What if he had some neighbours or classmates who would take time to understand him, love him and help him with his pain, his frustrations and help him to understand and accept the disparity in society. Helping him to find his place in society. What if ... he had someone ... Helping him to see that we have to learn to accept (though we may not embrace) people who want to abuse their wealth, priviledge or bodies. That within lawful confines people can opt to live as they like though we all know that one day they have to give an account of it to their Creator. How important then, that all of us - young or old should have mentors in our lives. A parent or older friend who will walk along side us ... accepting us, helping us to make sense of some of the happenings in our society and our lives and moving on to our God-given destiny one step at a time. A mentor that we can bare our most inner struggles, pain and thoughts. I thank God for the wisdom to have mentors! | | |
