| Jenson at Last! After 114 starts, Jenson Button has finally won his first ever Grand Prix! Congrats mate!
I've always been a big fan of JB, especially his super smooth driving style where everything looks like its in slow motion! (sounds funny coming from the fastest cars in the world I know!)
Now lets see if he can win a championship...

| It's Great to be Busy.So uni has started again for another semester and its hard to believe that this will be the end of a fourth year at UWS. Yes, I was doing a three year course and I have to do another semester after this, but I don't see it as wasted time, since I've learnt a lot in the period.
I never thought I'd say it, but I'm generally excited about uni. I've picked subjects I want to do and for the first time, I actually want to do well. Combined with a great vision forward towards a new organised person, I think i can do alright =D
Circuit Club's next event is now already sold out too - 100 cars in one month aint too bad aye? That means we get more budget to spend which means more work to do, but it's all very exciting.

So there is a lot to do in what seems is going to be the busiest 6 months of my life so far.
Can't wait! | | |
| I want to be famous!I have a lot of respect for the famous.

I never thought I wanted to be famous. Could you imagine having your picture taken ALL the time? Not to mention those horrid gossip columns!
However I realised something very important the other day - I can't just keep my ideas to myself. I need to tell people what I plan to do. Up until now, I have been afraid to tell people my ideas and plans for one main reason:
What if I fail?
But I think that telling people your plans is a way to make sure you don't fail. If its out there, and you don't want to fail, then you're just going to have to do it. Right?
I think thats why people become famous. By being famous, it adds all this external pressure onto what you want to achieve and in turn it pushes you to become better at what you do.
Thats why I want to be famous!

| What does it take to be the best?As Tina Turner once put it:
Simply the best.
Better than all the rest.
The news came in today (or yesterday if you are American) that Juan Pablo Montoya will be leaving Formula 1 at the end of this year and returning to America, where he once was champion, to compete in the ever popular NASCAR series. After five and a half seasons in Formula 1, I guess he thought it was time to move on.

Now for those of you who aren't F1 fans, Juan Pablo Montoya arrived in F1 the American Champion. He had (still has) a sublime natural driving talent that many claimed to be of a "demi-god" status. He had an aggresive personality, one that was missing from the F1 society. He had all the media hype with a hoarde of fans and followers. He was going to be world champion.
But then after five and a half years, there was nothing.
Now I couldn't tell you exactly what happened, but to state the obvious, he didnt have what it took to be World Champion. He simply wasn't the best. Some say Juan had his unfair share of bad luck, while others say he never had the right team to be champion.
What is obvious from this story, however, is that simply having all the talent in the world for what you do, doesn't necessarily mean you can be the best at what you do. I think this is probably true with all areas of life.
Whether it was luck, or his approach to his work ethic, Juan Pablo Montoya never had what it takes to be the best.
So the questions is, does Circuit Club have what it takes to be the best? Can we be "simply the best"?
Circuit Club gets its very own ABN by this Friday. From then we will see.

| So I've decided to write something in the name of bordemI woke up with this song in my head this morning.
"Sitting at the the dock of the bay, wastin' tiiiiiiiiime, ooh"
And now im sitting at my desk at work "wastin' tiiiiiiiiime" and i decided that i would write in this blog once more. I have no idea why, but i think there are a few good reasons for me to do so.
Firstly, I like blogs. I think they are mostly interesting on one hand, but i also believe they are a great marketing tool for exposure and opinion leading while feeling "close to home". I read other peoples blogs regularily and while I find not all are interesting, there are normally hundreds or even thousands of other people reading the same piece of text, and lets face it, at least one of those people will be affected by it. Especially those belonging to sportsmen, celebrities and hot women
Secondly, I feel the need to practice writing. I am crap at writing. I work in a building company and I'm known here to be one of the best writer here in this small firm, but then i realised i was surrounded by labourers and builders who used to be labourers. You don't need to be able to write good here if you know who to building a block of units.
"Yella, can ya read my faxes bra" hehe
Lastly, I always said that I would blog if there was something interesting for me to blog about. Something I can promote and something i feel would be the start of a "journey" for me. So on Monday 3rd July, 2006, we (being I and some others) lodged the forms to form a new business. (was using two "form" words in one sentence not good? i thought is sounded kinda funny in a haha way.) So if thats not an interesting topic then I'm a very boring person (most likely).
So here's to the start of a new era! Lets just hope I don't see the Dock of the Bay much more =)

P.S - I always believe that pictures make an interesting blog - so here are a couple i took recently on a trip to Wakefield Park
