| Forums They are located here. So far it's still pretty young, and there are only 4 members, but I think that if we got some more people the topics would grow and we'd get some good discussions. And if you have any ideas of what you think should be on the forums go ahead and leave a comment on here or register and there's a place for those ideas. Also, don't let the name fool you, if you're not from West Liberty you can still join. I just couldn't come up with a name. | | |
| In response to part of Jordy's post...Jordy's post can be seen here.
Romans 1:26 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and recieved in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
1 Corinthians 6:9 "...Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitues nor homesexual offenders." (speaking about who will inherit the kingdom of God)
These are some verses I've found that point to homosexuality being wrong.
And yes, it might not seem to be all that big of a deal, but it is a sin, making it equal with rape or murder. Those people participating in homosexuality are lost sinners, meaning that they're going to Hell. There are horrible things that go on in the world, but those worldy things don't really matter. Our main focus should be to honor God and be used to bring more people to Him. If those who are suffering are Christians then they should have comfort in knowing that God is with them even through that hard time. The sinners however need to be brought to Christ, which is our duty. But I see your point. We shouldn't be so caught up in trying to prevent homosexuality that we forgot to meet the needs of our fellow human beings. I don't see a reason why both can't be done at the same time though. Anywho, I hope this rant wasn't too long or confusing. Feel free to leave comments/disagree.

| What nerds like to do...Well then. I did say that I would post. So here goes: As we all know, I'm a nerd. And therefore I like to do nerdy things. Reading webcomics, for example. Here's a list of webcomics which I've found to be quite humorous. And if they aren't humorous they're a good read. There are a few good ones here at http://topwebcomics.com/. It's pretty much the only good list I've found so far. Anywho, here goes.
http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/index.php Time: 4-5 years (Long) Reading: Fairly Light Artwork: Good Genre: Mostly Gaming, Humor Rating: PG-13ish Updates: Almost every day. Comments: This is the one that started me reading webcomics. It's mostly about gaming, but pretty much anyone could find it funny. Interesting News Blogs that update every day. Those are fun to read also. Some language. The storyline comics can jump around from topic to topic, but for the most part continous storyline.
http://www.nuklearpower.com Time: Almost 700 strips. Reading: Medium-A lot Artwork: Taken from a Game (So-So) Genre: RPG (Role Playing Game), Humor Rating: PG-13ish Updates: Every other day. Comments: Funny even if you don't play RPGs (but funnier if you do). Definetly some violence and language. Follows a continuous storyline.
http://www.penny-arcade.com/ Time: 7 years (Long) Reading: Varies Artwork: Decent-Good Genre: Mostly Gaming, Humor Rating: PG-13ish Updates: 2-3 times a week. Comments: No continuous storyline. Sometimes it can be pretty stupid. Some language.
http://www.little-gamers.com/ Time: 1356 strips. Reading: Light Artwork: Decent Genre: Craziness, Humor Rating: PG-13ish, maybe more Updates: Almost every day. Comments: Fairly continuous storyline. Everyone is pretty much drawn the same way. Can be completely stupid. Language and Enuendo. Pretty dirty so if you're easily offended I wouldn't read it.
http://www.sluggy.com/ Time: Almost 10 years (Very Long) Reading: Heavy Artwork: Good (except for stick-figure weeks ) Genre: Humor, Drama Rating: PG-13ish, maybe less Updates: Daily Comments: Continuous storyline. Exceptionally good if you don't mind the reading. It has humor but it can also be fairly dramatic. Not much language.
http://www.dominic-deegan.com/ Time: 4 years (Long) Reading: Medium Artwork: Good Genre: Fantasy, Drama, Puns Rating: PG-13ish, maybe less Updates: Daily, doesn't skip a beat. Comments: Continuous storyline. Updates every night, so I know I'll be able to read it in the morning. Don't think there's really any language. There is a whorehouse in one story ..I mean .
http://pc.gamespy.com/flintlocke/ Time: 2 years (Fairly Short) Reading: Light Artwork: It's directly from World of Warcraft Genre: Humor, WoW Rating: PG (I think) Updates: 2-3 times a week. Comments: Hilarious if you play WoW. Slighty funny if you don't. Continuous storyline.
http://www.theaterhopper.com/index.php Time: 3 years (Medium) Reading: Medium Artwork: Decent Genre: Movies, Humor Rating: PG-13 Updates: 2-3 times a week. Comments: Pretty funny. Disses on the movie industry and many many actors/actresses. Some language. Doesn't follow a continous storyline.

http://www.comedity.com/index.php Time: 2 years (Short) Reading: Light-Medium Artwork: Good Genre: Humor, Gaming Rating: PG (I think) Updates: Weekly (Mondays) Comments: Extremely hilarious. Most anyone will find this funny. For the most part continous storyline.
http://www.noneedforbushido.com/index.php Time: 3 years (Medium) Reading: Medium Artwork: Good Genre: Humor, Fantasy Rating: PG-13ish Updates: Weekly Comments: Pretty good. Continuous storyline. Hot ninja chicks!
http://earthsongsaga.com/ Time: Irubo? (Very Short) Reading: Medium Artwork: Great Genre: Fantasy, Drama (?) Rating: PG Updates: Irubo? Comments. Just found this one. Apparently it's been going for a little while, but they are redoing them to put in better graphics and whatnot. So I'm only reading the redone version. Seems like it will be good. Continous storyline.
And there we have it folks. My post. When you begin to read these, remember that, as with everything, they start out not being too good, but they'll eventually pick up. Anywho. That took entirely too long. But you wanted a post, and now you have one. Happy birthday.

| It's not about Elite players...Oh man, today had to have been one of the best days to go play soccer. The weather was perfect. Unfortunetly I didn't though. Sigh. Yesterday made me really want to just run outside and have a scrimmage at the park or something. Spring soccer is still about a month off. (Which is a good thing since I'm not in anywhere near the shape that I should be in.) It'll be really fun. I'll be on the U-16A team. A lot of the same people that played with me in previous years will be on it, which is awesome since I know quite a few great players. But "it's not about Elite players, it's about Elite experience". By the way the program is called Elite F.C. (Football Club). Basically it has provided me with my entire wardrobe. I've got about 3 t-shirts that I wear that aren't from Elite. I also had a dream about Elite a few days ago. It was a sorta bad dream because I forgot part of my uniform and couldn't play, but the goalie doesn't wear the regular one so he lent me his. Yay for Jared Butler! (Even though, sadly enough he's not on our team this season.) /end rant
