Moby Speaks Out for Internet Freedom,
Against Corporate Web Takeover
(May 18, 2006)
Grammy-nominated musician Moby demands that Congress reject upcoming legislation that would allow AT&T, Verizon, and other telecommunications giants to take over the Internet.

The internet is under fire. The companies that provide the wires for the internet want to put up "tollbooths" and or block competitors from the internet. This may not sound like a big deal...but it effects all of us. AOL for example is tossing around the idea of charging a fee to send and recieve email. Other companies like Verizon and Time-Warner want to charge large fees to companies to give them "fast lanes" while slowing or blocking competitors, blogs, email, etc.
