In Memory of a Great Man
1954-2004

Occasionally a person touches our life, making the world a better place...

Today I have lost one of those people.

A man that drove two young girls around town when they were too young to drive.

A man that was like a father to me when I did not have one.

A man with the biggest heart in the world....

My dearest friend from childhood lost her father Wednesday night and I lost something as well.  I didn't realize how hard it would hit me.  I'd forgotten how much he meant to me.

I grew up and away from her, from him.  I didn't tell him what a difference he made in my life and I can't stand that.

I hope he knew

how much he meant

and how special he was...

Thank you David and I wish you well on your journey...

I'm glad you got to know him and share life with him. Let's hope it helps all of us remember to appreciate what we've got while we've got it.

I'm sorry for your loss and your friend losing her Dad. But remember, you were a self-centered teen, as most teens are. Just know that he got his joy from being with you girls(besides that, he knew just where you all were and who you were with....that brings peace)

He sounds like my husband, always a good guy, making a difference in kids lives, unselfish.

I sometimes wonder why they have to go young, when so many others live a long time.
