I've been visiting lots of colleges. Cal. Stanford. Davis. It's kind of scary cause I'm getting close to going to college. It makes me feel lazy, because I don't want to go and study more. I'm kind of excited for the experience, and intramural sports!! When I get back home I need to look at the colleges south.

Yesterday I had In-N-Out. It was yummy. I miss carne asada fries. I'm frustrated because I can't upload my videos at the moment. I'm listening to They Might Be Giants "Here Come the 123"...I love that CD. Only 2 more weeks of camp...and then West! I'm excited for that :)

First week of programming has been a success! I'd say my Sixth Graders are really awesome. All the girls are really sweet, and the boys are cute too. They are still not past the cootie stage yet, so it's quite challenging to get them to play together...So we've been going to the park a lot and teaching them how to cook a lot as well. I'm getting a lot better at using the Muni!

The fellowships have been fun. Last night we played intense spoons with markers, and then the loser had to do random things or dares. Today we had a fiesta!! Haha! My favorite is..."Singsperations" where we sing worship songs!!! Yay!!

I love it here. I love my family especially. My auntie and uncle are so nice, I can't believe they're letting me chill in their house for so long. I love my little cousins too, they're so adorable. Everyday Tai says "You're a baby!!!" He just turned 2, but whenever I ask him how old he is, he'll say that he's 5...They play with toys that I've had since I was a kid....those toys survived 10 years!! I gotta take care of them...

Some quick thoughts...

Well I'm up in the bay area now, I've been here for a week, and I've been really busy. I imagined myself to be bored out of my mind, but I've had a lot of things to do. I work like 8 hours a day, which has been fun so far, but I've only done training. The real stuff starts this week when I actually have to be a youth leader, yay. I also basically have a set of siblings now. They are 2 and 3 and are incredibly cute. They are so much fun to play with, as well as tiring...But I love them. I always learn something new from them.

I think it's cool up here. I'm really in awe of the transportation system. Everyone rides the Muni and walks around, which is so awesome. I wish there was better public transportation in SD, but our city is too big and has too many freeways. I'm like the only high schooler who has their license. I also love how everyone is environmentally conscious! There are all sorts of recycling bins and they even have a separate thing for compost. I love how there's so much history here, I haven't been to the tourist sites yet though cause I've been so busy.

Well that's it...it's time for me to write in my physical journal.

I'm really exhausted...I'm excited...tomorrow I get to spend the WHOLE day with my family. I haven't done that in the past week.

About two weeks ago I went to a UCSD and just sat in a random class...It was a math class about differential equations. It was definitely hardcor compared to the highschool stuff that I'm accustomed to. It took about 50 minutes just to solve one problem T_T It involved the Power Series and Laplace's Equation. I was familiar with the Power series from calc...but man....what I saw was extreme! haha.

Weird...2 more days! I need more time!

Oh I forgot to mention I can't wait for the 2.0 software for iPod. App store...yay!! Finally legal third party applications for my iTouch!!

Quite a busy week. I've been coming home around 8:30 everyday, so I've just been really tired. Even though I've been busy, I've been really happy because I've been able to squeeze in things that I like. I was able to volunteer this week twice at the apartments, which I haven't done in like a month. It was wonderful seeing everyone again. It was so much fun catching up and just helping around again. My volunteer coordinator is such an amazing person. I really admire her patience and her passion for helping the community.

I still haven't officially finished a journal before, but I have one that's almost complete. I started it July 28 of 2006 around when I started attending SPA. Journaling has been something important in my life, whether if it's in my personal written journal or an online blog. I'm a very linear person, and I feel that when I write things down, I'm just able to organize my thoughts better. It also helps me re-evaluate myself from time to time, which is good. I'm starting a new journal though. It's gonna be like an inspirational/creative journal where I'm gonna do a lot of cutting and pasting and drawing! Fun! Things like this make me happy. I think journaling is one of my hobbies, if I'm able to consider it one.

Oh I really like these things I found from a blog (http://www.ampersander-bound.blogspot.com/) from a book called The Bounce Back Book. I'm not really into those self-help book types, but these ideas make me smile.

The birthday celebrations have been really fun, everyone has just been so happy and everything, yay! I really enjoyed doing the interviews...people's lives are so interesting! I just gotta edit the videos now T_T On Friday I got to see Gary. I love Gary, Gary the Gardener at my mom's work. He' just this nice old guy who wears cool sunglasses. He gives me cookies sometimes and washes my car because he's just really nice. Last year he found my first car for me! I think I've only personally talked to him about 3 times, but I love him. He's just one of those people who do random acts of kindness, and I'm so thankful for him. Lets see, One-Acts was fun and interesting too, they were definitely unique acts. So great job to those people!

The strangest thing of all is that I got an A in Calculus. It doesn't make sense to me because I had about an 85% before my last test which I got a C on, and the final, which I'm pretty sure I did bad on. Any who, I'm nonetheless thankful for it. It doesn't matter anyway, I think it's a pass or fail on the transcript haha.
