| | Thanks Ate. Sometimes I need a reminder of this. It's kind of ironic because for a while now I have been thinking about this. How I've let my tongue go several times. And I just couldn't find a way to express that I was sorry for things that I've said to people or behind them. I guess, mom's Word of the Day saved me and encouraged and reminded me too that words can sometimes really hurt.
"JESUS SAID, IT'S YOUR HEART, NOT THE DICTIONARY THAT GIVES MEANING TO YOUR WORDS. A GOOD PERSON PRODUCES GOOD DEEDS AND WORDS SEASON AFTER SEASON." -MATTHEW 12:34
"What you say exposes who you really are. If you say kind words to someone's face but cruel ones behind the person's back, the true condition of your heart becomes evident--to those around you and, if you're paying attention, to yourself.
If you want to break a habbit of gossip, negativity, cursing, exxageration, or insensitivity, the key isn't holding your tongue. It's cleansing your heart, Ask God to help you honestly face your own pride, rebellion, and selfishness. You'll not only come away with a healthier heart, but with more positive, powerful speech." |
