| When in Oregon...Kill lots of bugs! No, seriously. My brother and I are currently in the process of driving down to Santa Barbara. We stopped for the night in the innocuous town of Klamath Falls OR. We took one trip around town in my car, and came across a highway FILLED with bugs! They were splattering all over my windshield, and are everywhere all over the front of my car (some still alive). It was almost like it was raining, but the bugs do not come off a car as easily as water does. Pictures on facebook in the future.

| Chinese #5The Golden Dragon. I thought I had been in this place before, but I guess I was wrong. It was a fairly large restaurant with a good-sized buffet. However, this was the first place that didn't actually have cashew chicken! Thus, I ate some other stuff. I'm sick of writing these up, so here are the pictures. 7/10.

| Chinese #4 - Jade GardenAfter a tip from the internet, we decided to hit up the Jade Garden over by the movie theaters. This place was a much higher-class restaurant, and the food did not disappoint. Nice big sit-down restaurant with a great wait staff. They gave everyone an empty plate and served the food in dishes so you could eat family style. This worked out well for our group of 7. They even had some really sweet wine and sake.

The cashew chicken was much lighter than the one I had for lunch, but was still full of flavor. It wasn't really stir-fried, but rather a bunch of things put together *after* they were cooked. This made it pretty good, and allowed me to distinguish the cashew nuts from the hunks of chicken and celery. Carrots were a nice touch (though other dishes had quite elaborate carrot-carved decorations... mine had none). Pretty good, and plenty of rice to go around (unlimited?). 8/10. | | |
| Chinese #3 - Panda GardenPanda Garden is located on 3rd street in a strip mall close to b-dubs. Don't let its facade deceive you -- this place is excellent. Lunch special was $4.80, and this included the entree, rice, crab rangoon, a bowl of egg drop soup, hot tea, water, and crunchy fried things in the middle of the table. Awesome deal if you ask me. The cashew chicken was very good. Everything was coated in a delicious sauce, and nothing was too large or under/over-cooked. Delicious, and worth every penny. My only complaint was that .... well, I can't remember what it was. There was something, but it wasn't big. Therefore, Panda Garden, you get a 9/10. | | |
| Chinese #2 - China Wok Located on Ft. Harrison, this beautiful establishment shares a building with a Quizno's. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a cheap pizza parlor -- fake brick walls, lights over the tables, etc. More of a take-out place, but it did have tables. The cashew chicken was not bad. The sauce was a bit light, though the chicken pieces were of better quality than the last place (not fried as much and not as old). The pork fried rice left something to be desired, and Greg couldn't eat it. Lots of food -- none of us finished our meals. Reminded me some of first wok. Eggrolls included. Overall, 6.5/10.
