  • Psalm 15

     1 LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
             Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
     2 He who walks uprightly,
             And works righteousness,
             And speaks the truth in his heart;
     3 He who does not backbite with his tongue,
             Nor does evil to his neighbor,
             Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
     4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised,
             But he honors those who fear the LORD;
             He who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
     5 He who does not put out his money at usury,
             Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.

             He who does these things shall never be moved.

  • And my heart hit a problem, in the early hours,
    So I stopped it dead for a beat or two.

    But I cut some cord, and I shouldn't have done it,
    And it won't forgive me after all these years

    So I sent it to a place in the middle of nowhere
    With a big black horse and a cherry tree.

    Now it won't come back, 'cause it's oh so happy
    And now I've got a hole for the world to see

  • how much do you trust me, he asked as he secured the blindfold.
    i trust you, was all i could say in reply.
    how much? he insisted, now beginning to lower me over the edge.
    i trust you, i replied.
    you're going to fall, he said, but it only feels like i'm letting you go. don't forget the rope that binds, my love. don't forget the rope that binds your heart to mine.
    i started to cry and, trembling, told him that i was scared.
    he whispered, true love casts out all fear & then released me . . .

  • Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him . . .

About Me

  • "Can a mortal ask questions which God finds unanswerable? Quite easily, I should think. All nonsense questions are unanswerable. How many hours are there in a mile? Is yellow square or round? Probably half the questions we ask -- half our great theological and metaphysical problems -- are like that."
