ahh summer is here :)

working at NIH until end of july, then off to taiwan in august!
(so far one week down of work....8 more to go...)

went to advance screening of RENT yesterday....goood movie...we BARELY made it in we were like the second to last group of people that they let into the theater...and as a result we had to sit in the second row. and now my neck hurts. but i think standing in line for an hour in the rain without an umbrella was kind of a bad idea.

and why must it rain so much in nyc?????

yayyyyyyyy thanksgiving break in 2 days!!!!!!!!

what an experience. seriously. all movies should be on imax. but seats need to be reclinable.

and today went to dolce and gabbana sample sale...got there at 10:10 and waited in line outside for 3 hours to get in...in the wind....in the cold.....toes were NUMB and hahah while in line there were these chinese women behind us speaking in chinese about us saying like even kids are here and how we were dressed so nicely....hahahahahaha funny old chinese women

and then went to the kate spade and jack spade sample sale.....wow..... super super discounts :)

soooooo glad i came to nyc :)

so now im just updating xanga b/c katie told me to....even though i have absolutely nothing to write about...o yeah except that we're married :) lolll i <3 u katieeeeee

EXCEPT yesterday we went to this restaurant and the waitresses kept saying how they couldn't split the check or w/e and then they complained to us that we didn't give them enough tip and they told us "tip is 15%" and made us give more. wtf. tip is OPTIONAL. tip is supposed to reflect how GOOD ur service is. our service was TERRIBLE. hence the terrible tip. wtf "tip is 15%" apparently they do this a lot too. wtf. and then they talk shit about us in chinese...right in front of us...when we all OBVIOUSLY understand and speak chinese. wtf.

and i looked at my requirements for bme....why the f do i have to take intro to EE and mechanics and comp sci. wtf im gonna fail. time to switch majors....

but on the bright side my calc midterm was not too bad :)

....and cant wait for after-thanksgiving early bird shopping in hagerstown!!!

....and christmas!!! need to re-put up my christmas lights! the heart fell down......after one day....but o well now i can put up more :)

non-stop raining in nyc .....flooding EVERYWHERE on campus...cant even bother to use an umbrella anymore b/c its so windy and the minute u pull it out it starts flipping inside out....can never walk outside without getting my pants wet...never thought the weather in nyc would suck so much

walked from 115th to 92nd and broadway yesterday...apparently these are not very interesting portions of manhattan....certain places were rather freaky....never gonna attempt to go beyond 118th into harlem! and there are not very many hair cutting places and bakeries....and the cakes we found were small and not so cheap and didnt seem that good either o well guess the search will have to continue elsewhere b/c im sure that SOMEWHERE in nyc there's a good bakery, but anyone know a good hair cutting place in nyc??

midterms are almost over! surprisingly they weren't that bad.......except physics

o yea and........

so i knew something felt odd about columbia....something just wasn't right....school just didnt feel like school....

....something was missing....

the dark circles around my eyes! (extreme lack of sleep!)

i was actually stressed for the first time since i've been at columbia on sunday....now that seemed more natural - finally feel like im at home lol

on a side note: going back to my real home this weekend!!!

and i think im sick now too....

revived my xanga....

(but i have nothing to write!)

ahh well...columbia is good (despite the fact that i have no friends haha ....lol i miss all my md friends!!!!!!!)

my dorm is nice...large room and 4 people sharing a bathroom...but unfortunately there are cinderblock walls...so it's like an elementary school

BUT we do have a/c!

i'll put up pics of dorm later (assuming i actually take pics haha)

i went home last weekend! went to inner harbor...isn't it pretty? just make sure not to get lost when ur searching for the highway b/c the projects are definitely right next to inner harbor...

me and lu...with crazy pigeons behind us that cannot be seen...make sure to never throw food near them or if you must make sure you throw it far far away from urself...
