| *edit* sorry michelle, i forget sometimes that i also know someone who
goes to villa walsh. i like to pretend that you just came to wp and i
never saw you in the hallways..which is like next to impossible because
wp is really small. oops
alright fine ill give in and update
6 days till RIT... looking forward to it of course but im definately
going to miss some people...which will be substituted by new people so
the net change will be close to zero. yea. so between packing and other
such last minute things i have to actually organize something with
whoever is left around plus a few others who have the unfortunate
privilege of going to their respective high schools (alright im not
gonna lie i make it sound like i have friends at a million different
schools but really its just wp and roxbury so yeah im a loser i know)
for another year or so.
so in other news yesterday was my last day of work and as usual, theres
never a dull moment at the american bbq company. so basically we get
the bill for the party we were supposed to go to in sparta but our
directions were to a party in succasunna. okay so we show up at the
"wrong" party with food for like 50 people and find out we are going to
have to feed 100. awesome but thats not even the worst of our problems
because we didnt have legs for the grill so we couldnt even start
cooking what we had. so i drive as fast as possible back to the shop in
denville and grab grill legs and more food and gas for the rental van
and get back to the party like an hour later. the grill legs are the
wrong size ones (yes only at the american bbq do we have grills that
use 2 different size legs) so we have to borrow metal sawhorses from
the guy and we end up missing the serve time for our party by an hour
and a half but we keep everyone fed and happy. okay so then its 4 hours
after we got the food out and i go take care of the bill. the hosts
come back out from the house and hand me a tip and sign the bill. i see
a flash of a 100 and a 20 so im like okay 60 each not bad, say thank
you very much walk away and as im walking to out to the van im like
lets see how much we got here and theres 220 dollars there. holy shit
110 dollar tip and we were late by an hour and a half. we get back to
the shop and i wash our dishes which takes like 3 seconds because juan
is the man and made our foil pans disappear and then as im finishing
eric walks into the washing area and hes like who wants to do my dishes
for 20 bucks. i investigate and find that he really doesnt have that
much so what the hell i wash his dishes and make 20 bucks more. figure
we get 60 bucks a job anyway so yesterday was a 200 dollar day pretty
much. not bad for my last day at work.
also just in case i manage to not get you your thank you cards from my
grad party that i still have because i forgot about them thanks for
whatever you got me.

| well it seems that my lackluster hs track career has come to an end.
unfortunately for me, its been marked with injury and disappointment
instead of success and triumph but it was still a lot of fun along the
way. through 12 seasons of track and cross country i've been able to
watch as my teammates and friends have been successful in competition,
usually from the sidelines but a few times alongside them on the track
as well. looking back, i wish that i would have dedicated myself to
running a little more so that i would have been better but at the same
time i can walk away knowing that i ran every race to the best of my
abilities and i finished every race that i entered (with the exception
of one which will be completed at a later date. curse you newark
academy for destroying my ankle for the 2nd time in a month). along the
way i was presented with some amazing opportunities and i was able to
meet a bunch of great people. i leave you with a short list of
highlights from 4 years of whippany park cross country/track and field
as a lowly freshman i watched jon leslie compete at the meet of
champions in cross country and then in spring track was a part of our
utter dominance over our conference as we were undefeated in dual
meets, chc relay and individual champions
as a sophmore i was in
the top 7 (for the last time sadly) in cross country and watched as we
defended our chc individual title and won the north 2 group 1 title in
spring track also the 4x400 won their heat at penn relays and had a
very successful season and i believe perry was named boys track coach
of the year (yay perry)
as a junior our cross country team ran the
fastest team average in the past few years and narrowly missed a trip
to groups while the girls xc team earned their 2nd consecutive trip to
holmdel and winter track gave our school its first ever state relays
championship
this year we made it to groups with both xc teams and
had an awesome bbq at holmdel, spring track had our 4x400 decide to
skip randolph relays to go to penn relays and i was given the
opportunity to fill the 4th slot, we crowned 2 group 1 champions in
justin king dominating the high jump and cassie biehl winning the
javelin. several other people qualified for the moc despite our amazing
weather.
wow what a long entry.
