DSC09057"We have dreamed dreams beyond our comprehending, Visions too beautiful to be untrue; We have seen mysteries that yield no clue, And sought our goals on ways that have no ending... Ay, we whose flesh shall perish as the grass, Have flung the passion of the heart that dies, Into the hope of everlasting life...”

"When God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand."  Proverbs 16:7, MSG

I wrote that verse in my journal this morning, frustrated with things that had happened this weekend.  It was so difficult to love my enemies, to keep believing all things, hoping all things, enduring all things.  All through the day my mind would race back to defeat.  But God kept saying to my heart, "Trust Me."  And then this evening I got a phone call that sent me rejoicing; the entire situation hadn't disappeared, but enough had to let me know that God was on my side, loving me all the time.  Even in stress and guilt and frustration, He teaches me His love.  Who can compare?
