  • Oh Xanga.

I have not forgotten about you. I just don't post here anymore. To be honest, I don't post many blogs at all. I have been meaning to change this but I have nothing to write about. The fun has left my life and now all I do is work and go to school. I go drinking on Fridays but that is as eventful as I am. I have started playing Dungeons and Dragons again though. I found some friends that are really into it and we have been playing for about 8 months or so.

  • What the FUCK happened to this country?

I'm pissed. I just saw the video of the guy ASKING a question during the event that John Kerry spoke at. Now, I have a few questions of my own. First of all, what did this guy do wrong? I saw nothing worthy of him being arrested. NOTHING. Okay, maybe the resisting part but because he wasn't doing anything to begin with, that shit goes right out the fucking window. Next, they had him on the ground with somewhere from 4 to 6 cops SITTING on top of him so he cant move. Why taser him? If a suspect is subdued, why add injury to insult and taser someone who cant move? Next question, what happened to the first amendment? I remember something in the Bill of Rights saying that we have the freedom of speech, religion, press, and assembly. Well, there was an assembly there for Kerry. Are we gonna shoot him with a taser, NO. The person that filmed the video was able to release it without any repercussions, so that covers the press part of everything. It wasn't a religious gathering so religion won't be included in this. Now, here comes the fucked up part. This guy was taken into custody and tased for asking a question. Clearly a violation of his first amendment rights.

This kind of thing has also happened to me. I was not arrested but I was asked to leave during the auction of the BTK killers house. The police had the street blocked off and would not let anyone watch the auction. They violated the citizens' right to assembly. And the funny part is, before we even got on the street, a cop told us it was alright to go and watch and take pictured of the house as long as we got nowhere near the auction table, which was cool. But, on this particular day, a fat pig posing as a bike cop decided to "enforce" his authority.

Well, enough about me. Let's get back to the topic on hand. I'm sure that these cops won't see more than a slap on the wrist but the one thing I would love to see happen to them is this; I don't care if they don't lose their jobs, I want to see them demoted all the way down to traffic cops. You know, meter maids. That is the kind of punishment they deserve. That has to be one of the most embarrassing jobs i have ever seen. They aren't cops but they try to act like one and they always come off looking like an idiot. I think that's about all for this, if you haven't seen the video, I have posted it below. Let me know what you guys think about this situation and what should be done about the whole thing.

    "Amendment I"

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." -Taken from http://usinfo.state.gov/usa/infousa/facts/funddocs/billeng.htm

One other thing before I go, I heard on the news that the dean of UF has ordered an investigation into the cops that tased the student. I applaud the Dean for having the balls to stand up to the power hungry lapdogs. It really shows that he cares about his students enough to call 'bullshit' when needed.
