On the issues

A recent run in with liberal crap has re-activated my love for politics, so here it is.  My primary matrix on the issues of who I'm for and who I'm against.

Right now my who I'm for list is as follows

1. Mitt Romney

2. John McCain

3. Mike Huckabee

Here's what I'm against

-Ron Paul wants to eliminate NAFTA; sorry Ron, I enjoy my Mexican produce year round from Wally-World and eliminating NAFTA would just fuck up that whole let's boost the economy through capitalism thing.

As President he wants to eliminate the Energy Department; yeah, let's let government subsidized monopolies (power board) go unchecked [does anyone see his inconsistency?  he wants to keep the carrots in Mexico and leave the lights on at $8 a kw/hr here] Hey if I'm saving money on no vegetables, then I can hand it over to the water company.

Ron Paul opposes FDA regulations; you know, I like the fact that the FDA pays someone 36k a year to stand inside a chicken plant and make sure it's virtually salmonella free, i don't like the shits and neither should you.  I also know enough about prescription drugs and their dangers to know that the drug market is definitely a place the government should keep its hands in.

RP wants to deny citizenship to illegal immigrants born here; let's just make that retroactive as well, and let the Indians be in control of this racist bullshit.

RP wants immediate withdrawal of troops in Iraq; yeah let's not finish what we started and leave a mess for radical governments to take over.

Ron Paul is a donkey in elephant's clothing.

-Duncan (Asshole) Hunter voted to allow hospitals to refuse treatment to non-emergency patients who can't pay their co-pay.  What if you were mugged, had a bloody nose, possible concussion and a hospital was nearby, but your wallet was stolen?  You got no money, but need some X-Rays...hmm maybe Hunter should get his ass kicked.

DH is not Catholic friendly at all, there is not a single issue in which he takes a moral stance save abortion? but then again, if he were a true conservative, he'd probably let the baby die from starvation in the projects anyway.

-Mike Huckabee advocates drilling in the Arctic Refuge; I don't.  This is a band-aid for a wound, eventually there will be no oil there.  I thought you were smarter than that, Mike.

-Rudy Giuliani wants to make a law for legal immigrants to have to learn English; excuse me, but aren't you Italian? go tell your damn grandpa to learn English and see if you don't get to go on a long vacation.  Democrat.

-Fred Thompson opposed including prescription drugs under medicare; WTF Fred?  There are little old widows and orphans who need drugs to survive, this is supportive of a culture of death.  He opposes welfare benefits for illegal immigrants...what kind of benefits?

-Mitt Romney wants to enforce action against illegals; isn't that a progressive move Mitt?

-McCain wants more troops in Iraq, there has not been one Marine death since October, I think we're doing alright, John.  No thanks.

-Obama (the only democrat I could vote for if forced against someone like Paul or Hunter) wants to spend 1 billion on career pathways for low-income workers, that's dumb.  Obama wants to add more red tape to immigration, yeah, that'll fix it.  Make them Mexicans get tattoos.  Pro-choice...dipshit.

If I got any of this wrong, let me know.

Tolerance is the virtue of a man with no convictions-G.K. Chesterton

Tolerance Tolerance Tolerance.  That's all I seem to hear from the camps of pop religion/culture these days.  If we are not tolerant then we distance ourselves from people (God's creation).  Many times the agenda comes under the facade of false pacifism where "tolerant" people distance themselves from violence as Christians and make ludicrous statements like, "I want nothing to do with violence".  They may as well say, I want nothing to do with Jesus.  True and untrue.  As Christians we are not to perpetrate unjustified violence, but we are called to participate in it.  How else is one to take up a cross and follow Christ, he who suffered the most violence?

Christianity requires our submission to sacrifice.  Never was there a more bloody way of living (especially in the early church).  Chesterton was right, tolerance = no convictions.  After all, had Jesus not been convicted, there would have been no cross.

A Lamented Eulogy in the Spirit of Hank

All My Gooder Friends have settled down

And They Seem To Be More In To Laid Back Songs
They don’t want To Get Drunk And Get Loud
They just want to sit on their ass at Home
I Myself have seen some Gooder days

And I have seen ole Spanky at The Top Of The Page
But Goodsir and Me need some Friends Just To Run Around
But Nobody Wants To Get High On The Town
And all my Gooder Friends have settled down

And I Think I Know What Barbara Meant When she prayed about her son’s lost ways
And Ole' Sank Lennon I'm Glad To See Is Finally Getting Straight
And Spanky’s Staying At Home And Loving Jessi More These Days
And Asspaw won’t Get Drunk And Get Loud
And Most of my Gooder friends have settled down

And The lonely times they Hurt my heart a real bunch

And Corn Bread And Iced Tea Has Took The Place Of Guinness and Mulligans Punch

And It Seems Like None Of them say Things Quite Like We Used To say
And Nobody Wants To cuss with me in town
And all my Gooder friends have settled down

And I Think I Know What Barbara Meant When she prayed about her son’s ways

And Johnny Boom Boom don’t act like he did when he stayed out late.
And Gwam He Is A Movie Star And He Moved Out To L.A.
And Nobody Wants To Get fucked up at Bo’s house

And all my Gooder friends have settled down

Yeah but Me and Bo and John and Wahsmell ain’t a going down. (And neither has Erick or Chad or Goodsir)
