4th of July Shin Dig
Well...here is what has been going on in our lives. We just love it here in Joplin. After we moved into our home, we knew it would make a great place to have some folks over for "get-togethers" so we planned a 4th of July party. We invited all who could come from Church and bought a fair amount of fireworks and explosives to make it a 4th of July blowout. We were thrilled when about 43 folks and children made it to our shin dig. It was one of the best times I can ever remember having on the 4th of July and thank you to all of you who came to make it a great party. The children had a great time with sparklers and all sorts of smoke bombs and other "kid-friendly" fireworks. Us adults got a chance to blow off several more potent types of fireworks. Being a guy who was raised in a State where it was illegal to have any firework that exploded or launched off the ground, being here is making me a kid all over again.

I will try to get more pictures posted later. Thanks to all again who made it out and hopefully we have started a 4th of July tradition.

Looks like a great time. Can't wait to see the rest of the pics. :) Remember that year when mom and dad weren't home and we got up on our roof and lit off (illegal) fire crackers? I was sure that you and Kevin would either burn the house down, or that the neighbor lady would call the cops on us!
That is right up there with my best 4th of July memories!!

Really enjoyed our visit!!!! We're at Monte's parents now so just got on-line but it's REALLY slow out here in the country so I won't be doing any pics probably. But at least I can check up on others! : )
Thank you for commenting about the loss of my dog. It is so comforting to know others feel the same way I do. Since you don't have children your dogs really are your babies. I have 2 kids and my first grandbaby due here in a couple of weeks and it still hurts so much to lose Brach. I looked at your site and I know Allison and her parents. My maiden name is Sherri Weeks; Tonya and Brenda's sister. I am friends with Leann Stanton and I remember she told me years ago about you having 2 Old English Sheepdogs.
Give your babies lots of hugs. That is what I miss the most about losing Brach. Anytime he was around me I was constantly petting him.
Hey Bryan!! Not to pressure you or anything.. I know you're busy, but when you have time could you post some more befores and afters of your house?
I love those kind of pics! Dad's going to help me I think this next week to fix our nasty bathroom downstairs.. it has really hideous green ivy wallpaper and a really weird light, so he's going to help me paint over the wallpaper and hang a new fixture. That got me to thinking that you prob. have done a lot more to your house since I saw it last. More 4th pics would be great too! ha! I love to see pics from the fam!
