| So V-day is over, and it was a good one at that. I kind of got sick of
everyone talking about it, so I'm glad its over. I don't know, maybe
I'm just weird but to me its just another day like any other. If
anything it means less because people have such high standards of what
should happen on that day so by nature its just not as special. Its
expected for things to happen a certain way and on any other day if
those things were to happen It would be something out of the ordinary
thus making it special. Thats why I have never been big on the whole
gift thing on V-day. I would rather just spend time with that person.
Then someday in complete randomness give them a gift if I feel
compelled to do so. It actually means something then, its not that you
did it because the calender has the words Valentines Day written on it,
you did it because you actually care that much about the person that
you bought them something because you wanted to. Thats why I
think this V-day was the best one I've had in a long time. No gifts, no
fake smiles, no bs, just some good qaulity time, well spent, some
good food, and some good friends to keep me company. I can't remember
the last time I was able to be with someone like last night. We stayed
up till sunrise and did nothing special, and were very very satisfied
with it. It was amazing actually, Thank You! Megan, I love that we are able to just do
that and be happy the next day and not sulk about a wasted night but
rather talk about how much fun it was. Alright I think I'm done with
all this typing.
