I don't really know if anyone reads this anymore... but for anyone who might, I want to share with/encourage you.

The other day I was in class, and I had an amazing experience. My teacher led a class of 120 people in a time of prayer and reverent worship that rocked my world. People knelt, stood, sang together, and everyone prayed. It was powerful and many things came to my mind.
I have been going through a really hard time lately. Car crash, broken stuff, 2 jobs, tons of school, and other things. I'm not saying all this to complain but just to let you know what i was thinking. I've been hurt, misunderstood, confused and tired... all just now. BUT God has taught me so much through this time.

13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13

I'm sure that most of you have seen this verse before. And you know that when you read it you automatically think of taking a bullet for someone, or dying for them in some way, right? Well, it doesn't say that "greater love has no one than this, that he die for his friends." It says "lay down his life." Do you want to love the people around you? If so then give up "your life" for them. Put them before yourself, even if it hurts you. Put their desires before yours, even if you want something so badly. Put their happiness before your own. Then you will be showing the greatest love. The love of Christ. And the amazing thing is that we all can do it.

I am still learning how to live this in my own life. Its hard to show love like that. But if you really love, then live love. If you really love someone, wouldn't you rather be hurt than let them?

And one last thought. Show that you love. Show it and show it.

-Kelly

We can entertain compassion
For a world in need of care
But the road of good intentions
Doesn’t lead to anywhere
’cause love isn’t love
’til you give it away
You gotta give it away

To Obey is Better Than Sacrifice

Important?

What is important?
Think about it... what is important to you?
Thats what I have been thinking about lately.
I found my answer to be unsurprising but to me enlightening.
Have you ever believed something without seeing it, but then you saw it and it was so much more?
I have found that I am so little. I knew that before but now that I think about all the ramifications of that it changes things...
-My perspective is little. The view from here is not what it is from up there. Do I see things as they are? No, I am blind to real life everyday.
-My influence is little. a whisp of smoke. What can smoke do? Nothing.
-My devotion is little. to obey is better than sacrifice, I want more than Sundays and Wednesday nights, so if you can't come to me everyday, then don't bother coming at all. Do I come everyday? No
-My strength is little. my faith is like shifting sand changed by every wave, my faith is like shifting sand so I stand on grace.

This brings me to what I do have lots of....
-I have lots of needs.
-lots of room to grow
-lots of mistakes
-lots of weakness. but in my weakness HE is made strong.

that is key. Everything that makes me less, makes me more to Him. I must decrease and He must increase. The first is going to be last and the last first. I have a great God who calls me son, heir, faithful servant, and friend. I am captivated by His love and saved by His grace. People fail. Friends let you down. But He is a truer friend. He gave His life for yours.

So what is important? Not me. Him. Jesus. His name. Have you every felt its value and worth? Think about it. I AM. When the soldiers asked which person was Jesus in the garden He said, "I AM He." and the people coming to capture and kill Him fell on their faces at those words. I encourage you to realy think about the words to this song.

How Wonderful - by Leeland
Lifting hands in song and dance
Humbled by the glory of the cross
We’ve been redeemed and reconciled
Caught up in the splendor of it all
Eternal life You gave
So we will bring song of praise

How wonderful
How lovely is Your name
You captivate our hearts
You save us by Your grace

God of mercy, God of love
How we marvel at Your majesty
As we kneel before Your holy throne
In the beauty of Your mystery
We are children of the King
Father, of Your love we sing

And You are
Closer than a brother, Jesus
Closer than a brother, Jesus
Oh, the name of Jesus
Oh, the name of Jesus
Oh, the name of Jesus

Some ramblings.

The kingdom of this world
Is become the kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ, and of His Christ;
And He shall reign forever and ever

The High Countries - Caedmon's Call... Read It

A bus station, in the steam from the rain
In this line of pale strangers, should I go or stay?

The whole field of vision, fades beneath me now
And the houses spread for a million miles,
in this gray town

And the weight of glory, if you held it in your hand
It would pass right through you, so now's your chance

Would you fall to pieces
Would you fall to pieces
Would you fall to pieces
In the high countries?

We are just pilgrims of the great divorce
I am witness to the light and I am captive to my own remorse

And the weight of glory, if you held it in your hand
It would pass right through you, so now's your chance

You drink the cup to the bottom, but it burns in your hands
The cup was poured out on the Maker instead

Out on the green plains, I am but a ghost
Bound up with all that I call "mine" still the light grows

Take it from the top...

It has been a long long time. Things are going great here with me. It is nice to be done with school for the semester. Csehy this summer is looking jolly good. I am am very excited.

So heres the thing, I want to encourage you all to regularly check out www.EmmanuelSong.com . It is a devotional website that is based on praise and worship music. "Seeking the heart of God by searching songs from the hearts of those who love Him." That is the phrase that best describes the purpose of the site.

Check it out and let me know what you think. I would appreciate comments and suggestions! What would make this site a better resource for you? What would make it more appealing and/or exciting? What new thing could I add to it to make it more useful?

And please let your friends know about it. Help me spread the word. Join the Xanga Blogring. Talk about it on your site. Make a Facebook Group. Get some stuff about it up on MySpace. Tell your youth group about it. Mention it at church. Add it as your website. Put a link in your AIM profiles. Add it to your signature in your emails. Any of these would help tremendously!

Thanks a bundle,
Kelly
