Wow new entry! It has literally been forever. Right now I'm really busy with school and other activities, but I want to take the time to let everyone know that yes I'm still alive, and I'm sorry that I have not been in touch. To my peeps in Rockford, I want to apologize for not being there; I'm sorry guys I miss you all so much. I feel like I've been missing out on so much recently. I have rekindled my friendships here at NIU, but have distanced myself from my friends in Rockford; I have to learn the perfect balancing act to make time for both. If there is anyone out there that I have offended, I wanted to say Sorry. Life is going to get busier within the next month, but it no excuse to isolate myself from the world. This week will be all about fixing broken friendships; You all have my word on that.

Quote of the Day:

Bart (future roomate)- Why do you want to do community service with kids; that sounds so gay.

Me- Well, its to help boost our image.

Bart- Why don't you do something better? Like STD screeening for sorority girls, and you could probably get lucky with one of them.

Me- Yeah and get VD

Bart- It's called penicillin my man.

Take care guys.

Dang it's been too long since I last updated. Everything is going great, and today was a great day. It started with prayer in the morning that helped strengthen my relationship in Christ, then Sunday school was very helpful with the main point that we must never compromise our faith and we shouldn't follow the crowd. Then English service was amazing. Pastor Nounou's preaching was great; he read an entry based on the thief that was crucified with Jesus that was eventually told that he would be in paradise with Jesus, and it was a sort of back sttory on how he had gotten there. It was so touching and had me on the verge of releasing tears. It made me realize how much God has done for me, and how Jesus sacrificed himself for my own cause. What made it great was that Nounou had written it himself, and if you have the chance you should ask him for a copy.

I went home and got some Father's Day gifts for Vidal and my uncle. A lot of people may think that Father's Day is a delicate subject for me, but the truth of the matter is that what happened no longer bothers me, and God has made me strong and made me realize that He's always there for me; what makes me feel great is that I know that my dad is with the Lord and I hope to meet up with him someday. I would like to take the time to thank that special someone who has acted as my father for the last 11 years. This person has always been there for me and Virginia and has always sought out to provide the best for us. This person has sacrificed and gone through great hardships and sleepless nights of constant prayer for our well-being. I Love Her I didn't mention is was a her? It's my Mom of course. She has been my father since I was 8. I admire her strength and her countless sacrifice for our success. I Love you MOM, and I acknowledge you on this day.

I just got off the phone with Linh and she's having a great time in Canada. She says Hi to all and says that she can't wait to see you all again. I don't know when I will talk to her again, so I was pretty excited that I got to talk to her. I hope to see her soon and I wish her an exciting vacation. Take care honey; I miss you! Don't forget to look for a rich boyfriend though. That was my day in a recap, and I have to say that it was a great Father's day.

Quote of the day:

Me: Oh look it's Sheffield Ave. We're not too far from Wrigley

Linh: Ewwww! That's where all the homos live.

Me:

Hahahaha. Happy Father's day to all the Dads out there. I'm out.

School's out for the summer.

Saturday, March 25, 2006

It has been a while since I last updated, so lemme give a quick recap of what has happened. I took a couple of exams this week, and I feel that they went well. Rosie got mad at me cause I called her a troll, and this week has pretty much been a blur from there. Last night I stopped by White Castle, and boy was it a wild night. On the way there we were behind this truck, and it suddenly started swerving, and we thought it was weird, but then we started swerving too. The road was icy! We thought w were going to die, but I managed to steer the wheel, and keep us from hitting another car or falling into a ditch. Later on in the night I dropped Jose off at douglas and I was speeding, and a cop followed me back all the way back to my place. The officer told me not to do it again and let me off the hook. I woke up this morining to find out that the toilets in Douglas were overflowing, and the whole floor was wet. I said Screw this and went backto bed. Crazy events, huh? Well, that's this week in a nut shell. Take it easy guys.

Quote of the Day

Officer: Is your speedometer broken?

Me: I apologize, officer.

Officer: Well, don't let it happen again or next time I'll be taking a hefty sum from your wallet.

Me Thank you So much.

Great times at the UIC ball. I just went crazy on the dance floor. Pics will be posted soon. Yesterday was insane because I was supposed tom go to a review session for my Chem class; I showed up at 7 thinking I was on time, but it had statred at 6 and was just about over. I was kinda worreid, but thanx to the help of my Traviesa, I was able to get an effiencient study session. Thank you so much Honey; I owe you one. Just got back from taking my Chem test and I think I did pretty good. Today may turn out to be a great day because I found my lost ID and I don't have to worry about studyin till wednesday. Spring Break couldn't come any sooner...The days are numbered.

Quote of the Day:

Me: Rosie, please don't hit me because your hands are like frying pans.

Touy: Yeah. Like Frying pans with 5 handles.
