I'm back from a weekend in Lewisville/Dallas, Texas. It was pretty sweet. Binkley came down from Broken Arrow, and I rode with him on Friday afternoon down to Lewisville. We caught up with Ryan, Charlton, Patrick, Ashley, Austin, Chris, and we just hung out and went to IHOP. The whole reason we came down was for Chris' New Years party. Saturday was supposed to be the big night. The party ends up having about 25 people there in Chris' mom's apartment. It was going great then a cop came and busted up the party. Which sounds like we were having a hardcore party and there were all kinds of sins going on, but really we were just hanging out, and nothing was happening but some guy that lived upstairs was complaining about noise so we had to move the party to Ashley's house. It was still a blast though. There were people from all over the Metroplex, and Oklahoma and Arkansas. Then we definetly didn't wake up for church on Sunday then we played football in the afternoon, and it was a really fun game. Then me, Binkley, and the Lamberts went to Grapevine Mills and saw Wolf Creek, it was pretty sweet I guess. It wasn't as suspenseful as I hoped it would be, but it was still a pretty scary movie. Then we came back and made cookies and coke floats, it was borderline gay, but also borderline amazing. We capped off the night with 40 Year Old Virgin which was actually very funny. Then me and Binkley came home today, and he let me drive his sweet Lexus all the way back to Oak Town. All in all, a pretty tight weekend, and I'm ready to head back to Harding. I miss all the people, and just the overall atmosphere. Have a good day...

A Fake Update on my Life

It's been quite a while since I updated. It was last time I was in Oklahoma that I updated. I just haven't really thought of anything that would be exciting enough to update. I don't know if I have anything exciting right now to update you on, but hopefully this entry will be worth reading.
The break has been pretty solid so far. I have slept in until at least 1 every day, including Sunday, haha oops. It's been good, as always, to hang out with all my Oklahoma peeps. Some highlights have included playing football on Sunday afternoon, youth group Dirty Santa party on Sunday night along with the lights in Chickasha on Sunday night. Last night was wonderful too. I went ice-skating with a collection of people from Edmond, Skiatook, and Memphis. It was pretty sweet. I actually didn't ice skate, I was just there to spend some quality time with my Edmond Harding friends, and 2 of their boyfriends. I also got to meet some cool people from Edmond Memorial that were really nice. Then I went to the Townhouse where some hotties were having a Christmas party. It was pretty sweet, there were a lot of cheesy Christmas sweaters, highlighted by Allison and Natalie's soccer-mom sweaters. Then today me and Eric explored some thrift stores. I scored a sweet blazer, well it might not actually be sweet, it'll probably end up looking horrible, but I thought it looked cool at the time. Eric also hooked me up with the James Blunt CD, and I'm excited about it. It sounds really good.
I'm looking forward to Christmas. It's just a good holiday; it ranks second to Thanksgiving in my book, but it's a fun season I must say. I'm especially looking forward to New Years in Dallas at Chris' fly party that is gonna go down. I think me and Binkley are gonna carpool and go down there for the whole weekend. It should be an extravaganza of amazing people.
So maybe that updated you. I hope you enjoyed. I'll be back sometime.

A Real Update on My Life

I just talked to Adam McConnell at Starbucks, and he made a great point about going to college away from home. You push pause when you leave for school, and when you come back you press play and you're back in the groove somehow. True, a lot of the conversations is just small talk about school, but friends can't leave you when you're far away. It's just crazy.
Here's a real update on my life. I'll try not to be sentimental in this entry, but it will probably happen.
On the way back to Oklahoma City, I ran into the back of a lady's car in Conway, AR. I was looking to my right at a car lot and in each car hood they had a huge sign spelling out sale, and I had never seen this before. I was thinking how ridiculous it was, and when I look back on the road, I slam on my brakes, but not in time. No damage done to either car, and everyone was fine, thank God. But it was quite an embarassing situation considering 2 girls were behind me caravaning so they saw it all go down. Pretty sweet I know.
Saturday, I was able to get a lot of laundry done, and then Jennifer and her sweet mother took me out to dinner, and it was glorious. Then I was introduced to the Oklahoma lottery, and I didn't win any money, but it was still fun, and I was able to play again on Thursday, but I lost again. But after that, I went to the Putnam City-Muskogee state quarterfinal game, and watched PC get embarrassed 34-7, and more embarrassed by the shenangians of Michael Collins. If you went to/watched the game, then you know full well what I'm talking about. It was fun though, then we went to Fridays and then me, John, and T-Slife talked in my car for an hour. It was cool.
Sunday, we had trash talk Sunday at the Campbell's residence after church. It was so fun, and refreshing to just pig out all afternoon and watch football. I loved it, and I missed doing it like we did last year. Then I went over to Rachel's house with Eric, then Natalie came over a bit later and we watched Fever Pitch, it was a pretty good movie, and I was glad to finally be able to see it. Then I stayed the night at the townhouse in Edmond, and that was hott.
Monday, me and Eric visited PC. It was good to see a few teachers and visit a few students, but I'm glad I'm out of that school. There are just a lot of things that I don't have to deal with at Harding that I had to deal with everyday in high school. Then I played poker with some of the guys from church, and each of us had at least visited Harding, and more than half of us went or go to Harding, so it was good to chat it up about Harding. Plus, I banked 10 bucks so that was nice.
Tuesday, sat around until the Thanksgiving dinner at church. I look forward to this event every year, and it was even more highley anticipated this year, because I eat crappy meals on a regular basis. I ate so much, and I got to see a lot of people so that was great. Then I went back to Jody and Chandler's apartment and played some Tiger Woods.
Wednesday, a lot more sitting around then me, Ankur, Jenny, and Jennifer went and saw RENT. Yes I admit it, I saw RENT on opening night. It wasn't my plan for the night, but me and Ank got suckered into it. I've never been really big on plays or musicals so I was setting myself up for disaster. It was a decent movie, if you're into musicals then I'm sure you'll love/loved it. It was just too much breaking out into song for me.
Thursday, Turkey Day. I woke up at about 11:30 then met my family at Fire Mountain for lunch at 1. The line was ridiculous, but we eventually got to sit down for lunch. The food was pretty good, but I was sick so I didn't get to dominate the meal like I usually do. And it also saddened me that it wasn't a home-cooked meal because my family has some wonderful cooks. Then we all went to my uncle's house and we pretty much sat around until 7. It was amazing. I was so content with laying around and just chatting with my family for so long. Then I went up to Edmond and played some basketball with about 20 guys. It was really good to see so many guys and it was some pretty good basketball. I actually played really good for how little basketball I've been playing at HU.
Friday, once again, sat around all afternoon, then I went over to Kristin's house with Natalie and just talked for a couple of hours then me and Nat went to Starbucks and talked for a while then we saw Elliot and Adam, and it was sensational. I didn't think I was going to be able to see either of those guys, but it was great to talk with them, and I look forward to spending some more time with them during Christmas break. It was a really good evening, because all I did was just catch up with people.
Tommorrow I'm going to the Bedlam game with Steve Mainprize and his cousin. It's gonna be really fun because I should be able to visit with quite a few people there too. Plus I'm going with freakin' Mainprize, and his cousin hooked me up with a free ticket so I'm very gracious for that.
The week has been great, but I'm ready to be back at Harding. I love it there, and it will kind of be like starting new after being away from everyone for a week. It should be great, and the break has given me a chance to relax and get back in the studious mode for the last few weeks of school. Thanx for reading if you're still with me. I love you.
