FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

I got a new job! I will be working in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale) at Lockheed Martin (Aerospace & Defense).

As a lead systems integrator and information technology company, nearly 80% of Lockheed Martin's business is with the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. federal government agencies. In fact, Lockheed Martin is the largest provider of IT services, systems integration, and training to the U.S. Government. The remaining portion of Lockheed Martin's business is comprised of international government and some commercial sales of our products, services and platforms.

It is ranked #2 in the Top 50 Places to Launch a Career (business week, Sept edition). I am being promoted into a higher position, get to do some traveling, get a work celly & laptop, and I'm making good money. If I can say so myself, I'm doing pretty good with my career considering I only have about 6 months of experience haha. I'm so happy & excited! :)

[My FIRST CAR] So I ended up getting an Accord Coupe EX-L (cool blue metallic exterior / black interior with leather seats)  It's so pretty!!! Obviously it looks better in person. These pix were taken near my work place.

Now... it's time to make monthly installments to my mommy hehe  I am determined to pay her back.

Update:

It's been a while, but there isn't much to say. For the most part I have been working. I like my job--the location and building are great (near the waterfront), near other great techy companies like Hitachi and Phillips, atmosphere (very business like, busy and fun), and co-workers are friendly and fantastic, plus I have a wonderful boss who is unfortunately planning on leaving us to work for Hitachi in SJ . I wish him the best of luck though because he deserves it and I am very thankful as well as appreciative for this opportunity to be working here. *CURSE taxes... they always take a big chunk out of my paychecks*. Time has flown by so fast, and it doesn't leave me much time to do anything else because on the weekends I just feel like relaxing and catching up on sleep. I have been spending little time with friends and a bit more time with family.

We are still remodeling downstairs which seems like an endless quest and I haven't completely decided if I will be moving downstairs where I will have my own bathroom and little living room as well as bedroom. We are then going to try to remodel the upstairs bathroom and perhaps the kitchen if finances permit.

My birthday is coming up soon and I would like the celebration to be different or chill this year. I don't think I'll be up for any clubs. And for the first time, I do have somewhat of a list of things that I want hehe.

I have BIG good news! I'm planning on getting a new car. I didn't expect to for at least another year or 2, but it's definitely time. The honda almost broke down on me a few weeks ago and has proven to be unreliable nowadays since I have to drive everyday to and from work. My parents and I have been looking at Hondas and I have decided on the CIVIC COUPE EX 2006 model. Having a two door will be a little different and squishy hehe but it's still pretty roomy. I will have to get use to the blindspots and small windows though. I plan to repay my parents in installments but will need to put $5k+ upfront. I will have to budget my money better for the next few months. I hope to get the car for my birthday, but if not, I will surely get it within the next few months. The sooner the better though because gas on the Lexus is killing me haha. Here are some pictures:
