  • early in the mornin', rising to my feet.

I woke up this morning dreading what was to come next.

Today, Thursday, was going to be bad. A very long, and bad day full of useless cramming and working that should have been done last week to meet deadlines that I already knew were coming.

Tomorrow was going to be bad, because there will be no time for rest with the Sungod festival right around the corner.

Saturday? Even more hectic, especially with the dance that evening, and I have to keep my wits about me if I want to get everything (all the reading, all the report-writing, all the homework) done before Monday hits. If I don't finish homework by Monday (that is, if I completely waste my weekend), then the rest of next week will start to shape out like this week.

This week wasn't completely down the drain. A few good things came out of it. :)

    A few good things.

  • Never thought the day would come where I'm listening to Rod Stewart and singing, "If you want my body, and you think I'm sexy, come on sugar, let me know."

    :\

    Okay, off to physics!

  • Maybe it's the PMS acting up (it's quite possible--it's nearing that time of month), but watching everyone around me calling their mothers to wish them a happy Mothers' day or hearing about someone being with their mom on this grand, commercialized (pseudo) holiday made me really angry today.

It also doesn't help that my mother has not picked up nor returned any of my calls--I've been calling her since Friday night.

Each time I reach her voice mail, I mutter aloud, mostly to myself, that there is no point in giving the woman a damn cellphone if she can't even find the "talk" button. Not to mention the mess she's caused back home, but I won't delve into that. I really don't want to.

Yes. That's right, I hate Mothers' Day.

    Fathers' Day too.

Grandparents' Day, I have no qualms over seeing how I no longer have any grandparents to appreciate.

It just reminds me of how  far my life deviates from "Leave It to Beaver".

  • YESTERDAY!

I spent the better portion of my day becoming one with nature: I stalked a bunny.

Look at it, giving me the evil eye...

But before that, I went to get a cafe mocha at Earl's Place! And read about ze missles.

But way before THAT, I decided not to pay attention during art studio and look where that got me. A nod to Conrad and his heart of darkness. Obviously.

Anyway, the plan for this wonderfully cloudy Thursday:

    12:30-1: Japanese lecture.

1-2: DOC discussion (and turn in crappy thesis+plan I finished twenty minutes ago).

3-4: Sit outside in Seqoyah, maybe work on my paper. (Read: edit crappy thesis+plan).

4-4:30: Meet with A. to talk about said crappy thesis+plan.

4:30-7:45: Go to CVS and pick up pictures, read physics, DO physics homework, eat dinner, THEN go to physics problem solving session. All will be done while wearing a new dress. :D

  • I almost fell down today while sitting in my chair.

The brief few nanoseconds in which I felt myself falling toward the ground were a little frightening.

But I caught myself before I fell completely, letting out a squeak and a BAM! as I shifted my body weight away from the floor.

My TA was standing next to me and all I could do was smile crookedly and go "heh, heh".

    Yeah.

    That was awkward.
