| Anyone else watching these Olympics? China is just dominating cheating. I laugh and make jokes because all of the judging events China does so "well", for things that any athlete from another country gets nailed on. I say that is because China has the judges' families somewhere and will execute them unless China wins golds. And really, I half heartily believe that with the way things are going in these Games. All the judging events are skewing towards China. No joke.
Anyways,
China sucks and the USA deserves more golds

| So a larger update later, but this is so random....
Miss Jenifer and I were at the Huntington Library and Gardens yesterday and we bumped into Crispin Glover. For those of you who are thinking "who is that?", its the actor that was probably best known for being Michael J. Fox's dad in the Back to the Future movies. I saw this kind of weird looking dude with this really pretty lady and was thinking "he looks kind of familiar". Then he spoke to her and immediately I knew who he was. Because Back to the Future is one of my favorite movie series because it has the right amount of sci fi, humor, action, and 80's goodness. So of course I have to know who he was.
I didn't tell him I was a fan or anything because I've read that he is one of those really, really... uh... interesting Hollywood actors. So I didn't know if I'd get a bonsai tree cracked against my forehead or something.
But again, just really random.

| So.... I've been meaning to update this on several different occasions but haven't, so here's a bit of an update....
- I'm surprised at how mild the summer has been. Granted I'm a mile from the ocean now, and once I post this we will probably have a heatwave hit us soon, but it's been nice.
- I was going to boycott watching the Olympic games because of China, but have actually watched a lot more than I have the previous two sets.
- Hot dammit, I have not been to a Dodger game so far this year... only a month and a half to go, jeez I need to see a game.
- Comic Con came and went again, lots of fun yet again this year but its so dang different from what it was 10 years ago. Heck, it is so different from 5 years ago.
- 3 years!
- My farmer's tan is pretty bad. I tried to go to the pool this weekend to get it a little more even, but I need a lot more time outdoors to try and have a uniform color.
- I was going to be up in Winnipeg next week for business, but now am not. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) equivalent in Canada is on alert status now, and since I was going to be working at their facility, I had my trip canceled (no outsiders allowed). That, coupled with that story of the beheading on the bus nearby doesn't necessarily mean I'm disappointed traveling there. Odd that I went from being gone 3 weeks in August to being gone none.
- Living well is the best revenge.
- I want to buy a propane bbq to replace the charcoal one we have at our place, but do not want to spend a couple hundred bucks to get one. Guess that means waiting and waiting for the coals to get hot before I cook some steaks.
- 50 cent comic books rule.
- New roomie in 2.5 weeks. Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah!
- I got 2 pounds of cherries, a box of blueberries, 2 ears of corn, 2 bunches of asparagus, a box of cherry tomatoes, 6 white nectarines, cilantro, red onion, for $15. Thank you, OC Marketplace
- Guitar Hero Aerosmith sucks. Really, really sucks.
- Thank you, stock market, for erasing so much of my savings. Well, at least I don't own property.....

| like a good neighbor....So not that I really have many complaints about where I live, but since this random lady has moved in next door, its been kind of annoying. The rest of the people in that house are in their 20s, and she has to be at least in her mid 30's. Just kind of random.
I'm not sure if she works or not, because for the last 5 days her car is always parked outside when I leave, if I come home for lunch, and when I get back from the office. And she leaves the entire window open - no screen, no glass, just open. Which faces my room, and with the concrete down below, just echoes about everything. Plus she cackles and talks on her phone like she needs to yell into it. Both at 11:30pm and at 6:30am.
I imagine her as some divorcee or swindler that is on disability or welfare and now just spends her time sitting in her room laughing it up that she gets to sit on her ass. But maybe I'm just stereotyping when I see her.
Jeez this post sounds really bitter, but when you get woken up from a pleasant, deep sleep every morning this week from a cackle that would put the Wicked Witch of the East to shame, then I'm sure you'd be a bit grumpy, too. 
Other than that, things have been great, ComicCon is next week, work has lightened up a bit, family is doing well, and THE DARK KNIGHT is out. Too bad I have to be up early on Saturday or else I'd see a late showing. But I'm constraining myself because I want to see it on an IMAX screen and just about all those shows are sold out until Monday.
Oh, and for some good trailer geekiness, I present to you
