annoyed

So, I am very annoyed at facebook because it wont let me upload pictures, and it keeps saying that I need to log-in again.  Grr...

I am also upset because at the donut shop they have decided to start making peanut butter donuts. First of all, I am extremely allegic to peanuts so I am worried about Bryan bringing it home on his clothes, and second of all since they only have one fryer I am not going to be able to eat anything that is fried there anymore (not that I really need to anyway, but still.)  Plus, this morning Bryan was being all well, "its not a big deal."  so I just walked out without saying good bye. I am so upset about this.

getting organized

Our house is FINALLY coming together! I got curtains hung up this weekend, and all the wedding gifts have now found homes. We finished up thank-you cards, and I watched a ton of Olympic trials on tv! I love the olympics and can't wait for 8-8-08 to get here! Bryan and I bought a new queen mattress on saturday and it was delivered today. Our full size bed was just a tad too small.

Oh and we got our wedding video in the mail, so we watched that. It was awesome!

becoming domestic

I have been working on getting my house organized, but I am proud of myself because I made banana bread.  I have never really made it before, but it turned out really great.

August rush was a really great movie. Robin william's role was very different, and all the actors were great.

shopping spree

Bryan and I went to tulsa yesterday to do some shopping with all our gift cards. We had some from target and some from bed, bath and beyond.  Target is horrible about exchanging gifts if you don't have a gift reciept, and I got a set of sheets that I just wanted to exchange for a different color! Its not like I can go to the people and say your gift wasn't right, and I want a different one! They said I couldn't do that even though it was just an exchange! I am going to fill out the survey thing and tell them how mad i am!! I think that Target is not a good place to register.  We got the rest of our plates at least though.

Then we went to Bed, bath and beyond and oh, what fun! We got new towels, a new comforter set with pillows, shower hooks, a new shower rod that is rounded out to give us more room, and a new alarm clock.  We got 10% off everything and 20% off our comforter set because I had a coupon from the mail. So we got a ton of stuff and we didn't pay for very much. Thanks everyone!

HONEYMOON

The honeymoon was great.  We stayed in tulsa for two nights then flew to Buffalo, NY.  We spent the night in Canada, and saw the falls. Then we drove down through Pennslyvania and saw Penn State University and went to spend two nights at Hershey~the sweetest place on earth! It was great and then we drove towards Washington D.C. and on the way stopped at Gettysburg. That was cool.  We spent 2 nights in washington D.C and saw the constitution and declaration of independance.  We drove from D.C. up through Maryland to Philadelphia for one night and saw Independance Hall and the Liberty Bell. AFter Philadelphia we drove through Delaware and on to Newark, NJ to turn in our rental car.  Then it was on to Manhattan for 4 nights. Whew! It was a great trip, but we were ready to get home. There are two things in particular that I want to blog about. One is Brooklyn and the other was our flight home.
Ever since we decided to go to New York, and really before that I wanted to go to Brighton Beach which is the Russian area of New York.  It is very close to coney island on the southern tip of brooklyn.  WE got off the subway and the first thing we saw was a Russian grocery store.  It was soooooo cool!! There were all foods written in cyrillic and russian being spoken all around. They also had Russian advertisements on the radio.  The best part was the whole row of frozen pelmeni, which I couldn't buy because there was no way to get it home.  I got some russian chocolate and chai. We also walked through the main avenue and ate borsch and pelmeni at a little russian cafe. YUM!!

Our flight home was crazy! We were supposed to leave at 12 and be back in Tulsa by 5. Well, our flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems so we got re-booked on to a different airline which meant we had to go back to the check-in counter to get our new info, get our luggage, go to a completely different terminal, re-check our bags and then wait like 5 hours.  The good thing was that there was no connection to worry about. The other good thing was that we got to meet David Cook! This is the guy that just won American Idol. He was on our flight from Newark to Tulsa, so I got him to sign my boarding pass.  It was a sweet bonus. hopefully I will get pics on here soon.
