yes i think so. if it can work. sometimes after the break up a friendship is unattainable. however if this is not the case i think remaining friends is okay. obviously there are qualities in this person which you like, otherwise you wouldnt have dated them. if you cant work as a couple, why not take a step back a just be friends? for example one guy i dated, i LOVED talking to. his perspectives and comments are so unique. he was like the coolest person i knew and he didnt even have to try. plus he would listen to me rant about anything. after we had a falling out period, we started talking again. it was nice. i had missed talking to him. im in a healthy relationship now, but i still talk to this ex. he is still amazing to converse with and confide in.
