Had a very interesting today (this being saved on monday but now im updating so today is actually monday okay?) :
as if getting my hair cut into some freaky thingy wasnt bad ENOUGH. the first thing i receive when i come to school is :"HAHAHHAHAHAHAHH! I COULDNT RECOGNISE YOU AT ALL AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! WHAT HAPPENED?!"
(and Jia Li's:" JOIN THE CLUB!")
and in pathetic attempts of making me feel better after getting laughed at,
"its not THAT bad lah."
why the THAT in between the not and bad?
is this some subliminal message that I look awful?
TUESDAY:
had training and adjudicated juniors. not as fun as i thought adjudicating would be.
("there will be a lack of good mother tongue teachers if we dont make mother tongue compulsory! but then all mother tongue teachers became mother tongue teachers because they liked mother tongue as children so they wont understand the students' feelings thus there wont be a connection between the teachers and the students!!!!!!")
WEDNESDAY:
went to watch Definitely, Maybe with Sandy, Eve, Janice, Cha, Kelly and that's all.
THE ENDING WAS SO ABRUPT.
anyway, the funny scenes were almost all ruined by the people sitting behind who, obviously having seen the film before, enjoyed hissing the punchlines 3 seconds before the actual. and i almost cried when he walked away! then i think i turned around and saw evee and all the atmosphere was lost and i broke out laughing.
AND SANDY FELL ASLEEP -.-
and the stalker cried.
HAHA!
okay eunice came along too.
THURSDAY:
chaperoning.
never again, i tell you.
after that mariann dominique and i went to wheelock place before team dinner. introduced them to the BigO Cheesecake. there were irritating people sitting next to us making weirdo comments(you know the kind who wont stop staring at whatever you order as if they have never seen food in their lives before). Oh well. Let them be.
had too much dairy for one day.
then we went to borders to buy my parents' anniversary present and mariann went to look for books. you know i have really no idea what domi did the whole time. HAHA.
almost fell asleep waiting for charmaine to arrive. then she finally reached and i dont know who called her but then she went out again to go pick up luey chi, shaun and glendon i think. i really dont remember. oh but we were going up and down the escalators for fun.
then we went to fish & co.
wondered where pw was so we called her and it turns out she FELL ASLEEP AND FORGOT TO COME.
...
and then throughout the whole night charmaine and mariann WOULD NOT STOP EMBARRASSING ME.
they would count down 5 4 3 2 1 BLUSH! and the stupid thing was i actually kept blushing on cue and naturally they took it the wrong way going "OOOOOOOOH!" loud enough for the whole room to hear.
sigh.
split ny fish and chips 3 ways and got stuck with the creamiest piece.
utter discrimination.
but i think we had the most fun at borders finding innuendo in children's books. OH! and i found the most beautiful poet ever. too bad i didnt have enough money to buy the book.
mariann and i were almost going to die laughing because the whole section is so dirty. (if you look hard enough)
oh and the viola thing.
and the raining thing.
and the "hi do I know you?" thing.
so amazingly fun.
TODAY:
saw Evee's pm and got the inspiration to go google the prologue of romeo and juliet again.
you know it's so ironic that we memorised more than half of the prologue already and yet only remember "If music be the food of love, play on" from the text we're going to be tested on.
and though this may be the greatest understatement ever:
ROMEO AND JULIET IS SO ROMANTIC!
I just feel like gushing on and on about the whole balcony scene. (ugh I just realised how disgustingly bimbo that actually sounds.) I was reading it and smiling to myself and then I caught my dad staring at me so I stopped reading.
But, oh it was so beautiful and magical and beautiful!
Now i shall show you the amazing power of my memory by typing the prologue here without reference!
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
(okay I start to reference here)
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
(STOP REFERENCING HERE!)
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
AHHHHH EVEN THE PROLOGUE IS SO WONDERFUL!
I love Shakespeare.
