I don't want to go to sleep because I feel that every time I do I'm just awaking to another day. Another day closer to leaving, another day closer to leaving everyone behind. Where everyone is everything, and everything I love. But somehow I feel like if I just never went to sleep, I would somehow I would be able to cheat time; spend moments, make mories, and continue having the time of my life.

CHICAGO

My first ever post was about chicago and now, well hello, would you look at that so is my latest and greatest. i'm going, are you? suckah.

So how does this happen? I step out my door to go to work and all the sudden beneath my feet something starts shrieking like...not good, it was just screech-ish. And I look down and what do I see beneath my foot and about to eat it?

A MASSIVE WOODLAND CREATURE!

Who does that happen to? Who? In the nice little suberb this tiny, not tiny actually but pretty big like Mickey size (not the mouse, the bipolar dog) and here it is about to eat my whole body as I innocently try to go to work. I mean, I have woods, but since when do the woodland creatures go into my garage and stand near the doorway like, hey, do you mind bringing some lemonade out with you? Or something. It was a mix between a beaver and hedgehog and that's all I can describe it as even though it's probably pretty simple. But there it was, like I had just stepped out of an outhouse or something in the middle of the wilderness. My brother chased it out with a broom and off I went to work. Traumatized? Oh yes, watch your garages innocent people of Comstock Park, there are wild beaver creatures on the loose and do not be fooled, they will eat your foot.

SUMMER

...is great. It's also going way, way, way too fast. July is like woosh bam gone and then what is left, college? Who goes to college, anyways? Not really sure what I'm doing today, at all, which is horrible because it's Fourth of July but pretty much everyone is doing something or in a different country or working and I am...home alone. I wish I was still in Traverse City, but I have my MSU orientation tomorrow which I am not too entirely sure about, we'll see how it goes, hopefully I don't find ways to permanently embarass myself like, for example, after my first night of the Leadership Conference with my roommates I didn't really even know...

Yeah we were all awake and you fell asleep and got up and said, "The squirrel is under the sink!"

Oh great, so glad I could do that for you. But anyways getting beyond moments of humiliation, work is going good, I really like hitting the buttons and whatever but man oh man I have not really gotten out on time once yet and I'm not sure how I feel about that. If you're too busy to let people go then here is a news flash for you, maybe you should schedule more people! Crazy, I know, but it just might work.

So let's think of some of the things since my last little update-tation...

Drive in movie!! Why more people do not do this, I don't know. We saw cars and it really was an experience besides the fact that Erin's car smelled like Cory. Oh, by the way, we also went to see the sunset at Grand Haven a few- um, last week, lol, and that was fun it was like a family of about fifty people it was insane but you'd know if you went. Also went to the beach with Kimmy, Jaz, and Chris which was a really good time, lol, promiscuous is all I will say about that- which, by the way, do not watch the Hills Have Eyes or you will die and do not watch Nelly Furtado live otherwise you will laugh your head off because, who knew, she's like a little spanish rapperista? lol and believe me not a good one at that either. That beach day was really fun though, so was Kimmy's birthday party a while back: Sweet Eighteen, anyone? And then we had a surprise birthday party for Chris AND later that night we went to, yep, that's right, you guessed it...

The club: Margaritta Grille, to be exact

And back to the drive in movie because I got really sidetracked, haha, um, it was really fun. Put a few dents in Erin's car but other than that it was pretty good, not good for the self esteem though. Saw Cars, probably moved around trying to get comfortable the whole time though so didn't really watch it too much but it was alright. Some quotes from the night...

         Now that's fun right there.

                                  What lake is that?
               Lake Shutyoassup.

Haha, that last one was really funny and I take complete credit for that- it was totally all me. It made no sense, of course. Then I just got back from the Barnes' cottage and Jaci came with and it was a really perfect little day and a half in a box. We saw a bike tour, got lost on the way up there (What was that Jaci, we're TWENTY MINUTES AWAY FROM THE MACKINAW BRIDGE? Is that near Traverse City?) but that was really funny- only we could do that. Got back, had some interesting times at some bon fires, lol. How many Dinkels did you a jaci jaci? Haha ooooooooooh man. You'd think the little (or actually pretty large) mix of people would be wierd but it really wasn't, it was a blast. Got a free t-shirt, placed alright in the Tub-It tournament which we take REALLY seriously up there, seriously, like, not even joking- National Anthem and all with a trophy that the winners sign...it's pretty much insane. BUT it's really fun because everyone's really into it. Woke up after the bon fire and went running in the absolute BEST place possible- right on a road that goes alongside the beach on the penninsula. Seriously, it was amazing. If you HAD to run, that is where you want to do it. Got back, had homemade BISCUITS AND GRAVY which are even better. Rode the sea dos, well, we were in the air most of the time so we weren't really on the sea doos, lol, but we rode them. Went swimming and snorkeling and got TAN and had tan LINES in wierd places such as a line across my nose and went underwater diving which is amazing, I wish I could do that every day- even if there was a big fish Jaci which I don't believe, lol. Got to sleep in a tent so did the whole camping thing and had smores talked to some people I haven't seen either since school got out or a couple years. Took two walks in the middle of the night where there is an absurd amount of stars, like, if you looked in the sky at night in Comstock Park - even if there were stars- i would probably say there were barely any stars in the sky- seriously. Laid down in the road and had some really good talks which is always needed. Went to the CHERRY FESTIVAL and walked around downtown Traverse City at night and had really good pizza and fudge and snuck into an AWESOME jazz concert for FREE because we are just that sneaky (really). Talked to absolutely nobody on a boat, came back, had another bon fire. Seriously, just- ahhhhhhh....

NOW THAT WAS A VACATION.

I probably missed some stuff because we really crammed a lot into a small amount of time but it was a top summer memory and will definetely remain one. There was Katie Barnes, Beth Owen, Matt Sawinski, Tyler Barnes and Gabe, Alex Penny, and their brothers and whatnot and cousins- it was just fun, no other way to explain it. I really want to go snorkeling again, it was like we were in Tahiti or something it was so amazing.

And then came back and went to about a five minute Jazz in the Park Zoo which to be honest was horrible, climbed up many, many steps for nothing which to be honest was horrible too, but then we watched War of the Worlds and got freaked out for absolutely no reason and that was fun- well, there was a reason as in masked murderer slash whale beast in the woods that was breaking down trees or something which wasn't scary at all...lol. Totally lying on that one, scared the crap out of me because I had to come home alone after that too.

Well, that was everything in a nut shell, there were more memories and happenings here and there, especially at the cottage, but I'll just keep some for me (and everyone else who was there, obviously) but I'll probably ramble some off in person so whatev.

MY BEST FRIENDS ARE IN GERMANY.

one day and I miss them already

SUCKAH.

What's happenin, jive turkeys?

That's right (in case you haven't noticed) someone is a cashier, and that someone is me! At first I was pretty razzle-dazzled because I felt like I was going too slow and of course they had beer, and cigarettes, and fireworks, and rainchecks so there were about four new things and searching endlessly for what kind of fruits and vegetables they had; it's crazy. But then it got better because I was like- slow down.

But the best part of cashiering?

THE SOUNDS! Not only is hitting the buttons really fun, but scanning is a sport in and of itself and the beepity beep beeps it makes are insanely entertaining, and I especially like when I get a check and run it through the machine with the noise it makes, it makes me feel like I'm older or something when, nope, I'm just a cashier. Plus, Jackie and I have the same seniority kind of so we work at about the same times, so, it's pretty fun. And funny. Funny fun.

I bagged Erin's gum in a paper bag, I don't know why but I thought it was pretty funny.

Don't continually look in windows of places, otherwise people may start to notice. (haha, that was pretty funny when we came back and he was right there) Oh well, it was crazy, and we drove insanely fast to save a guys life only to realize that something really wierd was going on. But we're just undercover cool like that.

Oh yeah, lol, Erin went the wrong way down a one way road, went to turn out of it, went backwards through a carwash, and then over a curb to get back on the road. Haha, that was funny. Lol, really funny actually.

I went snorkeling yesterday! That was fun, saw many little fish and almost died in some seaweed but this is me everything always ends up being interesting in one way or another. Then we went to Blues on the Mall and saw this one woman who was...she was the best, we were in love with her. This was her attitude, "what are you going to do for me? Huh? What are you going to do for me? Bring it, c'mon, bring it. Alright, alright...I see what you're gonna do. Ok, alright, mhmmmmm...." Which lol sounds really wierd but ask me to demonstrate, she was my favorite dancer at Blues even though she wasn't really dancing. So then we went to Bethams or something which is the nice resteraunt in the Amway and got a dessert, some Brownie Pandowdy which was fun to say and even better to eat! Which makes me sound like a fat kid getting so excited over food but whatev it was fun.

Cashiering today from 1-5, come through my lane! Kimmy's birthday party after that, beach the next day, Saturday work from 2:45-9:15 and Sunday 12-5. Which I just realized kind of suck but hey I'm out before ten, and we've somehow managed to fit a lot into the ten and after spot, so let me know.

Holla at ur boy.
