| Paradox| 1. | a statement or proposition that seems self-contradictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth. |
| 2. | a self-contradictory and false proposition. |
| 3. | any person, thing, or situation exhibiting an apparently contradictory nature. |
| 4. | an opinion or statement contrary to commonly accepted opinion. |
We love and we hate.
We're happy and sad.
We have science and religion.
Creation and evolution.
God and Satan.
Good and Evil.
Light and Dark.
Faith and Doubt.
Life and Death.
We are creatures of paradox. There must be room for paradox in our theology and religion. Without it, we are stagnant, ignorant, unmoving, and uneffective.
I have come to a place where all of the "Yeah, but..?" statements have disappeared into the beautiful fog of God.
No long does there have to be an absolute, a measure that we grab on to so that we can succor our need to buy our salvation.
There is only God -- what we call God; he, she, it, they; god, goddess; incarnations of god; jesus, buddha, mohammed; you and me; father and mother; the great spirit, and all the other names we attribute to the Great Other that we hardly understand.
This Other seems to have revealed basic truths in all the world religions that we can agree upon. These seem to be things that this Other wants us to work on and grasp for right now.
But, oh the possibilities. Oh, the things that must still be out there that this Other is waiting for us to discover.
Will you be brave enough to search for them?

| ArfProps to Nathan for this one. And wouldn't ya know that I got the same results as Elena. Soul mate, indeed.
| You Belong in Generation X | You fit in best with people born between 1961 and 1981. You are fun, laid back, and very independent. You are willing to take risks and live your life however you see fit. You are casual, accepting, and friendly. You see everyone as your equal. |

| Much betterThanks all for your prayers and comments. I'm much better today.
After not improving much at all, I went back to my doctor on Friday. He seemed pretty concerned about me. Took some blood, hit me with another antibiotic shot, much stronger than penicillin, put me on augmentin, and steroids for the swelling in my neck and throat.
Once the weekend had passed, I felt much, much better. My blood results did test positive for mono, but that may be because I had it once in the past. Perhaps this was a flare up from all the stress I've been under, or maybe it really was strep.
Regardless, I'm happy to be feeling better, and I can't tell you how wonderful it is not to have a swelled up, throbbing sore throat!
I start my new job today. I work a few hours tonight training with one of the baristas.
Kinda nervous...
