| Darn! All the leisure days of July are over and it's back to work!
I was in long beach with a killer cold and then took my germs to seattle last week. That was actually pretty fun as we got to go out on lake washington in a boat (until it broke) and also to the boeing air flight museum. This week is the super long go pick up all the board members flight so today we deadheaded to nowheresville vermont and then tomorrow its hop hop hop down the east coast and back to htown, i think 4 or 5 stops in all. one night off and then we are back up to take everyone home again. Yippee!!!
I've lost track of the rest of this month's schedule but I have some definite plans to get done- must get my lazy ass back in dance class and/or back in the gym I am tired of looking crack head skinny with no muscle.... also I am going to start taking some kind of classes, even if they are just random fun things, I have to keep my brain engaged before I die of boredom on my days off. All that volunteering I swore I was going to do, I need to find a good charity that I actually like working with.... you know the usual, but I am tired of saying I am going to do all this stuff and then never doing it!
For now though it's bedtime, as we have a super early flight tommorrow and then its time to do it all over again the next day!

| On the road again.....
By some miracle I got 10 days off in a row the last few weeks and while it was nice, I definitely got spoiled...... Too much going out and sleeping in with Alex. Spent most of this past weeekend doing the family thing, and though I am not sure what our respective elders thought, I felt like it went okay. So I am doing the east coast run again this week, and I have to admit that it is a little tiring to have to fly every day! Htown to Boston today, which was interesting as we got to fly straight over hurricane Dennis. A quick hop over to Connecticut tomorrow and then New York on Tuesday and Lousiana and back home on Wednesday. Somehow all that flying tends to eat up most of the day and so I never really get to do anything. I am looking forward to next month, I get a while week in San Diego and the pilots are already giving me crap about plaing golf with them- I don't think they really understand how bad I am! I am going to have to spend all my free time on the driving range this month just so I don't completely embarass myself!
In other news, I am seriously going to need to stock up on good books- Harry potter comes out this week!!!!, because in 2 weeks I am stuck in ALASKA for a week. That's right folks, you read that correctly, I will be in the middle of nowhere. Actually it might be a good thing, I could use some extra sleep and the scenery will be beautiful so at least I can convince my ass to get out and run for once- the temperature is awesome there right now!!!!
Other than that, all is well on the home front, believe it or not I am actually happy. I think, for the first time in a long time I can actually say that without reservations...
| i forgot that the best time to get sun in san diego is.... in the winter!!!!!
thus, my attempts to get a tan today were a little spoiled, actually most of the time was spent in the hot tub as it was misty and cold, but i refused to be deterred and in the end i had a great time since i had this huge bad ass pool all to myself!
kind of strange being all by my lonesome, and i think i will have to definitely get more proactive about getting off my bum and going out to see things. next time i am here i want to go see all the things i did when i was little and remind myself of how old i am now....
| I just want to turn into a twinkie....
Only in California, the state where SweetNLow has apparently been banned can you find fried zuchinni at a fast food drive thru. Don't get me wrong, I love this state, I grew up here, but when you return after a long hiatus its easy to forget how different things are here. This week I am fortunate enough to havea layover in the Costa Del Mar, about 20 minutes north of San Diego and one of the prettiest places around. Unfortunately it is foggy and cloudy so my plan to get a tan for once does not appear to be panning out. Instead my boyfriend and I are massively text messaging since we can't stand to be apart, and I am freaking out about my first plane trip alone later this week. Fun, you say? Oh yeah it is. I love it. Everything about this job seems as if it was tailor made for me and my personality. Other than the lonely nights kind of sucking, I could get used to this. How on earth am I ever going to go back to an office? Yuck!
In other notes, today was rather surreal, as we flew over Colorado and I am looking down, thinking, hey my family is down there! I sometimes wonder if the next time I manage to make it to Lake City, my parent's house will be built! Hopefully not, I do get some vacation so maybe next year....
Since I have not gotten a new camera yet I will have to entertain you with random photos... here is the type of plane that I fly on:

Going to crash now as I have been awake for too long, I have flown from houston to boston and back to california and I am TIRED... gnite all!
| Wow it is early... Got up at 3:30 this morning and it was funny since my bfriend was just going to bed.... flying to the east coast then to California today... hopefully I will get a chance to lay out on my days off bc I am white as a chicken and that just will not do. Last summer I managed to go the entire time with no tan, but that was kind of weird. This time I intend to be very dark by August! Yall wish me luck on my first official flight although I will have another FA with me to help out... Thusday is my first flight on my own, and my boss will be on it, so I am a little freaked out, but hey, I gotta do it sometime right? | | |
